I Declare---A Posting War...newbies/oldies welcome

The danger of the AP and and DVC is that you are tempted to make extra trips since "they are practically free" at least that's what I tell myself. That's why we have 5 trips this year.

I only have 3 trips, but that is so true about the AP and DVC.

Hi Anne,

How are things going these days. I feel out of touch with your life.

Thanks for asking Scott. Things are moving forward - still working out a lot of details but definitely looking up.

And I have to add, I am so glad we have been experiencing sunshine and not snow lately.

I still have some piles in my driveway and it has been in the 60's most of the week.

Yep - that's exactly what Val & I do.

Time to buy!

Very high on my dream list Jeff.

Just refinanced the house and bought my husband share out so not at this time.

Although I saw a re-sale contract a couple of weeks ago that was a good toe in the water - 50 points for $3,700

I had 3 trips the year I had my AP. DVC would have thrown dh over the edge :)

That's why I finally just told mine we are buying and that's it...okay, I had to twist his arm a little bit. :)

Not a bad deal. What resort?

We're going to DL next spring and will probably pay for a hotel so that should set us back on track after borrowing so many points. The 15 month AP saved us a bundle.

I want to go back to DL but I'm waiting till Carsland is finished.

I wish they would offer the 15 month AP all the time.

Another thing high on my dream list - DL. Never been.

The real problem with DVC will be when Otto is older and we have to spend more points to travel in the high season. I'll definitely need more points then.

Your favorite.

Good deal indeed. The points per night are fairly low at OKW so your money goes further.

We bought so long ago (1995) that our average cost/point is lower. Wish I had bought more back then.

Got to go folks. Everybody have a good night!!

We bought into other timeshares. I have a unit that I am thinking once, I get title work fixed, I may sell and use as down payment for DVC. Not going to get out of it what I paid.
