I already have a room booked for dec 08 AKL club level, well i called today to see about adding a night to the front of our trip...all booked up,no club level now,she said i could book a standard rrom but it would be another res all together...dont want that hassle, dont want to put a night at the end of the trip because that means more school missed for kids and i would have to pay a much higher price because my discount runs out on checkout day....she said there was alot of time and to just keep calling back to try to book it...what are my chances?

Book the one night at the start of your trip. It's really not that big of a deal to change your room. Pack just one bag for that one night and leave everything else in your suitcases. On the day you have to switch room, call for Bell Services for assistance. All you'll have to do is go to the f ront desk and check out and then check back in. If your second room isn't ready, Bell Services will store your luggage for you.

At least you will have a room at the same resort. Keep trying to switch that to the club level.

This is exactly what I would do too.

i guess i just did not want to pay another deposit on the same trip, that would be 200.00 for my package and then 135.00 for my one night..I guess i will just keep calling to see if they have someone cancel, I guess it is not such a big deal...and if i wanted to use our ddp i would have to make that room a package just for one night (which is to much trouble for one night of dining lol) I guess i will just keep checking....someone is bound to cancel at some point....

My vote is to wait it out! :goodvibes Trust me, I know it's tough I'm such an obsessive planner and I like everything to be set in stone so I don't have to worry about it.

Case in point - When I was trying to book a Garden View room at the Poly for December 08, there weren't any available. I tried again a week later and it was! Not sure if they hadn't opened up all the room availability when I tried - but the point is, people's travel plans DO change. Especially since refunding the deposit is a sure thing until I think a month before, that most people will hold onto it until last minute.

Just keep trying and sending some pixie dust your way!! pixiedust: pixiedust:

I would book the standard and hope for the best with the other room becoming available. I know 2 deposits are rough, but when December rolls around it will be nice to have that much less to pay.

I had a similar situation occur with a Pop reservation Believe it or not, I had 4 reservations for 6 nights total! I was told on the phone they could not consolidate the reservations and that they could not tell me I would not have to move. In the end, they left me in my same room for the 6 nights, but I had to go to the front desk most mornings to check out and check in again! :rotfl2:

the problem is i know i will have to move because the room i already have is club level....i think i will just keep checking and hope for the best,if not i will just keep what i have,I am hopeful someone will cancel though,i have until march to book under my code so i will keep checking until then.

We have switched resorts in the middle of our stay before. Disney couldn't make it easier. You pack and call bell services. When they pick up your bags, head out for your day of fun and when you are done simply go to the AKL. Your bags will probably beat you to your room. Go. Enjoy.
