I have mentioned before that I am in Venezuela now because of my husband's job. We have been here for 9 months. Even though I am aware of the sniper, war news, West Nile Virus outbreak, and all of the other bad news from home, I have been SO READY to return home!!!!! It is not long now....YEAH!!!!! We will soon experience our Disney magic for 8 days and then head back home to Louisiana. I am even more ready now! Have you heard about what is happening here in Venezuela?!?!?! Many military leaders came out on TV last night and asked the country to begin civil disobedience. They are denouncing the president here. They said that they are not recognizing him as their leader and they are asking the public to do the same. We have seen national strikes and protests. Now it looks like we are about to experience civil war here!!!! I can't wait to go!!!! 19 more days!

Yes, for all the griping and moaning and groaning we do about the ol' US of A, I think it really takes a first hand experience in another country to open our eyes and really appreciate all that we have here, and often take for granted . . .

It truly is still the greatest country in the world . . .
