I can't get the ticker to show up. What do I need to do?

My question might be difficult to articulate since my computer language is so limited, but I'll give it a try.

I seem to have been able to create the ticker I want, but the directions didn't say how to get it to stick on my (word needed) near my name. I guess it's a signature. I seem to get the (? address) typed out instead but not the picture. So frustrating Is it true that you can't teach an old dog new tricks?

If there's someone out there that can help a computer challenged me, I'd be so ever grateful.

I just figured this out myself through trial and error. I think that there are three linksat the bottom of the page after you make your ticker. You need to use the link that says for boards that do not allow images. I tried all of them until I found one that worked.

Right now, your signature shows up at this:

What you need to do is go into your User CP (User Control Panel), click on "Edit Signature" on the left menu bar. In the box, you will likely see the text I posted above.

To make the image show up instead of the text, the following needs to be in the box: (remove all quotation marks, I had to add these to get the correct text to show up)

All your signature is missing is what is referred to as the "image tags" (the

which tells the message board code that the text between theses tags is actually an image that needs to be displayed)
