I check AA, United, ATA, Delta and can't find non stop flights out of Philly to Orlando. The only carriers offering non stop are Usairways and Southwest. I'm scared to book USairways and SouthWest's prices are not that good, plus they don't have my dates yet.
Any sugestions on the best prices for direct fares?
If USair goes under flying out of Philly will be a real pain.

We need your dates before we can offer assistance...

Probly best to hold on until SouthWest comes out with your dates, then jump on the best ones right away. No sense flying connecting flights at higher prices, and the other alternative, flying USAir, is just scary from a scheduling and financial perspective.

Newark or Atlantic City might make sense if they are feasible options. I think Spirit flies from some NJ locations.

Good Luck!

Depending on where you live, you should try Spirit out of AC. That is what we fly - it's direct to MCO...takes about 2 hours 15 minutes. The AC airport is nicer than the Philly airport (IMO)!

Go to www.spiritair.com for rates.

We've flown Airtran a couple of times PHL to MCO. MCO is their hub so plenty of flights and less risk of cancellation.
It's a disccount airline so similar seating polies to southwest.

Until USAir straightens out its act, Southwest and Airtran are your best options.

My dates are 4/30-5/8

I have flown spirit out of Atlantic City before. That is a nice airport, but too far. It's about an 1 hour away. But I would go there in a jam. I'm about 10 Minutes from Philly, so Newark would be a hike also.
I tried Airtran for my dates and couldn't find anything direct. I really hope US Air pulls out of this mess. I never had a problem booking a direct inexpensive flight with US Air.

Airtran has two direct flights on 4/30, at 3:11 and 8:00 pm. Not my preferred departure times, but they are direct. It looks like May dates are not available yet.
I flew Airtran before and seem to remember Saturday morning departures nonstop to MCO, they must have changed the schedule.
I am flying in December with Southwest, I usually fly USAirways but Southwest was cheaper. I was really glad I went with Southwest when USAirways declared backruptcy.

I've found Airtran changes their times alot. I wouldn't count on the times now for a May reservation. I was going to book a reservation with them for last May in March. The nonstop return was around 2:30pm (MCO/PIT). When I went in to book, it was changed to 9:00am. Luckily the USAir flight with a mid-afternoon return got way cheaper (went from $698 to $250!) and I booked it.
