I haven't been feeling all that bad recently, but I have had symptoms that in the past have been due to "silent infections". Achy joints (especially knees), feeling feverish very quickly if the area is even slightly warm (as opposed to just feeling warm), then turning around and feeling chilled if the area is slightly cool. Being very tired, moreso than usual. Kinda losing my voice or finding it an effort to speak (which is really strange). But, otherwise, I feel fine.
Today, though, I woke up with the backs of my knees aching and itching, and I think that's only happened in the past when I had either a silent staff or silent strep. But usually when I had those, the glands on the throat were swollen even if not sore. They aren't swollen today. I really can't decide whether I should try to slip out to the Dr (though that would have to wait until Monday since her office closes in 2 hours and the liklihood of me getting an appointment and getting there before she closes is very, very slim) or if I should just wait it out.
The only other thing I can think of that might be causing this is either thyroid (in which case I just need to go get my bloodwork done, but my arm is still bruised from the nurse/MA's botched bloodwork attempt Tuesday) or a new medication I'm on.
Anyone know if inhaled corticosteroids (namely, an inhaler used daily to treat asthma conditions) could cause achy joints and/or insomnia? I just started that two weeks ago, too, and have been feeling this way the majority of the week (but most strongly since Tuesday).
