I'm trying to weigh my options but there's so many choices and I have a hard time making up my mind.

There's only 2 adults in our travel party...Port Orleans Riverside and FQ have my attention but I'm still wondering about the value resorts and if any other hotels are worth paying a little bit more (not a lot)

We love POFQ as its a very small resort and the pool is great (slide is for the much younger side in my opinion though) and only has a quick service dining option. I haven't stayed at POR but I hear its nice as well and it has the bonus of having a table service option (Boatwrights). Both resorts have boats that go to Disney Springs which again is a bonus in my opinion.

Yeah, at first I was won over by POR but then I watched a youtube video on POFQ and the vibe there just won me over but I have plenty of time to weigh all other options as well so I'm just trying to see if there are any others that I should consider. My main thing is that since it's 2 adults, idk if a resort that is geared towards children would be too much for us. I love AOA but it would cost more and although I love drawing and art, it gives me that children vibe with the themes.

We love Coranado. We did have our kids but would love it without them as well. The pool is really nice and the openness around the lake was great. I also really liked the rooms. Have sliding doors to separate the room from the bathroom area was what I liked the most. We have stayed at POR too. I like the resort too. The grounds are beautiful. We did have an issue one day with the buses but it got worked out. Coranado buses were never overly crowded in my opinion.

We have stayed at All Star Music. It was nice but I like the feel of the mods better. Seems more laid back to me at the mods. The rooms and beds are smaller at the value as well. All the mods except POFQ have table service restaurants as well.

Are you planning on being in the parks from rope drop til close? If you are a value might be better. If you plan on spending time at the resort the mod might be better. Why pay more if you are not really going to e at the resort? This is our logic when picking a resort.

This is our first trip ever lol so idk if we'll be able to handle being there from rope drop to close yet. My whole idea is that if we do decide to take breaks, then obviously we'd want a resort that is comfortable for us as adults and not overwhelmed by kids. It all depends. When I was younger I was able to do rope drop to close but the last time my bf and I went to disneyland, we made it through most of the day and we didn't get there at rope drop and didn't stay til close BUT when I went a couple of months ago with one of my friends we stayed all day. So I know it'll vary depending on how we're feeling.

It's WDW. All resorts have a lot of children. That said I find the vibe at the Mods more adult than at a Value. POFQ is my favorite.

i know you said deluxes wouldn't interest you because of the price differences, BUT price out Wilderness Lodge. Other than them building the villas and related construction its one of the lowest priced deluxes and its a boat ride to MK and the monorail.

Will do...I already know that's one that my bf and I would love I mean we do have time so it is possible that I could set aside a little bit more money. Especially if I find a way to save or make extra money.

Love POFQ and the boat to DS is awesome. It is a lovely walk to POR for other food options, queen beds are a bonus and the whole resort is quite lovely.

That said, we've stayed at POP and AS Movies and Music. They are nice, the quiet pools are usually quiet. I liked POP a bit more because it was a nice walk over to AOA and we used those buses more than once from the parks.

You might also look into renting DVC points at WL. That's what we did for our upcoming trip. :thumbsup2

Coronado sounds like a good resort for you. There are still kids around but didn't to be too many. It was quieter then the others we have been too.

The first too trips we did rope drop til close or normal close time. We hand a 4 and 5 your old our first trip and thenot 6 and 7 for the second. We were nuts. Thankfully the kids did good but our feet hurt so bad by day 2 or 3. Now we go at rope drop till about 11 or 12 then go back to the resort to swim and relax until about 5. The last 2 trips this?way we're much more enjoyable.

We, DH & I (don't have kids) loved our stay at POR. We liked how it was so spread out with nice walking paths & gardens & had quiet pools as well as the main pool. As a bonus the quiet pools were just that-quiet. Most of the kids were at the themed pool (Old man Island) which looked great & had a nice pool bar but we were very happy at the quiet pool, we had it to ourselves most afternoons. The boat ride to DS made for a nice change from riding buses.

As far as Wilderness Lodge, we've never stayed there but have eaten there & also gone for drinks a few times. The grounds are really nice & the boat ride to MK is fun. We also liked that you could take the boat to the Contemporary linking you to all the monorail resorts/lounges/restaurants & the TTC as well.

Enjoy your decision making & have a great trip!

I havent stayed at POFQ yet we are staying there in February but every video I looked at and everything I read. I opted for it because of the vibe and the size of it. It only has like a 1000 rooms compared to the other mods... It's a tough decision trust me I know but I would go with POFQ

With all that you describe, I think French Quarter is a good fit. I've stayed at all the All-Stars, Pop, FQ, Poly, Boardwalk, and Beach Club, and I love FQ. Yes, it's great when you get a good deal for a deluxe, but honestly FQ is pretty much on the top of my list. The All-Stars became much too kid-centric for me, and crowded at times with rampant (lol) teens. I find FQ to be the quietest hotel, which I love. The room size is nice, and I love the decor and the layout, the boat to DS, and the quick ride to EPCOT.

Always moderate over value. CSR is sometimes described as "Deluxe-Lite" (beautiful resort) But POFQ def over a value.

You really can't go wrong with POR or POFQ. They are both lovely. The rooms are a nice size, beds are very comfortable, good food options, plus the boat to DS. If you can afford a mod, I wouldn't do a value. IMHO, the walls are paper thin and the beds are very uncomfortable.

I second the motion. Have stayed at WL and truly fell in love. Short boat ride to MK and CR ( I am pretty sure) which puts you on monorail as well as being able to enjoy all that the CR has to offer. It has a wonderful quick serve for breakfast lunch or dinner as well as themed sit down dining at Whispering Canyon and Artist Point for fine dining with bar if you just want a quick cocktail. Very nice pool with bar (if not affected by construction) and lovely lobby. Nice store in the lobby for anything you need. If you are a Walt Disney fan you can take a walk over to the lobby of the Villas and see two of the ride on train cars that were actually in Walt's backyard in California. Very cool. I give the WL 6 stars. Very very nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!
