I can't complete my Hidden 50's quest!

Last early December, I started my Hidden 50's quest and got quite far...that is, until I got to the stage coach outside of Big Thunder Ranch. In its place was a red sleigh and they put the stage coach inside the barn. The stage coach has a 50 on top of it, the next item on my list to photograph. I waited till after the holidays and discovered they still haven't brought out the stage coach! I don't know what to do or who to ask. The 50th theme ends in November, so I've got time, but I don't want to wait too long!

I thought that if they took a hidden Mickey out of display, another would appear elsewhere in the park. Did you ask? I thought I read that City Hall or somewhere is supposed to have a current list of the 50 hidden Mickeys.

I may be all wet, since I've never been there, but I was pretty sure I read that somewhere. (I've been reading a LOT, so I apologize for not remembering the source of my info...)

My guess is that because of the gold monstrosity they were calling a Christmas Tree having a 50 Mickey on it would make there be 51 of them, that would be why the stagecoach had to disappear. I haven't paid much attention when I've been back by BTR (and the only times I've been back there since Christmas have been in the dark), but I would guess the stage coach is back.

Yes, the 50th in the tree replaced the stagecoach. But In late January the stagecoach was not yet back out. I haven't heard recently though.

They also took the 50 off the Haunted Mansion when we were there. Funny, the CM didn't even notice. My son and I were arguing about where it was. I didn't remember seeing it on past trips and didn't get a picture of it. So we ask the CM and he turns around to point to it and says 'oh its gone?'

iceskatejen, you're right about the tree on Main Street. It had a 50 at the very top and that would have counted as 51 if they left the stagecoach outside. I'll go to City Hall and ask when it'll return. And got2travel, you're also right about the Haunted Mansion. There was a black 50 cobweb right in the middle of the front pillars. They took it down and put up the 000 Days Till Xmas clock during the NBC theme, so I didn't get a picture of it when I started my Hidden 50's hunt in December.

Oh, no! I think I have a picture of the 50th web from the Haunted Mansion, but it's on a various roll of film from last summer. I wanted to keep track with all the 50's in order on two rolls of film from disposables. Don't think that's going to happen at this rate.

I visisted DL in January and only casually looked for the 50s. Is there somewhere I can get a master list? I'm going back next week, and I really want to find as many more as possible. I'm also hoping to get some pictures of the golden ride vehicles. I didn't find out about those until after I got back!

You should be able to get a master list from City Hall at DL. As for the golden ride vehicles, those are on the Carousel, Storybookland, Casey Jr, Teacups, Jungle Cruise, Autopia, one of the horse-drawn trolleys, and one of the other Main Street vehicles. Mr. Toad, and Peter Pan both have a gold vehicle for photo ops, but no on-ride ones.

Oh, that's a different web site! I forgot where I found it, but there was one with all the hidden 50's in thumbnail images. I wrote them all down and planned to check off and click with the two disposable cameras. Thank you for the link, but I was hoping to have my own set, yet it's starting not to look that way.

i went in the beginning of april and both the hm 50 and stagecoach was gone so i assume if one is back then so is the other. but you know whart happens when you assume things. also i hope you didnt waste your film taking all 13 mainstreet lamp post 50's they're all the same.

When the Frontierland/Big Thunder Trail stagecoach '50' was removed... a '50' did replace it somewhere else inside Disneyland.

I was told it's in Adventureland.

Yeah, I noticed it on April 28 and was soooo happy. I didn't have my cameras at the time, so I'll have to do it on another visit.

Well, I decided to snap all 13 anyway to keep track of the 50's in total. The day I snapped the pics was pretty bad, though. It was November 11, 2005, Veterans Day, and it was horribly crowded.

Kam, the CM at City Hall told me the replacement was at Dumbo and wrote it in big words on my 50th map. I went to look, but didn't see it anywhere. I do know of one 50th in Adventureland, or two, I should say. The one is next to the Enchanted Tiki Room and the other is by Indiana Jones.

Yay! There it is! I must be totally blind, or I was only looking all along the lower areas of Dumbo! Thanks, that's awesome! I'm off this upcoming Saturday, so maybe I'll get up there again!
