Ok, What's with this weather ? We booked to go to Walt Disney World 15 months ago and have been slowly counting down. We now have just under 5 weeks (can you believe it) to go and I didn't for one minute think I would need to be worried about hurricanes!!! We thought we would be safe by mid October. So anyway, we have two little space rangers and one even littler Disney Princess (5,3 and 2). I had planned on just taking shorts and t-shirts and a couple of sweaters but should I be re-thinking my packing.

Does anyone know the long term forcast. We go Oct 13th for 14 nights. We have loads of PS's booked and are going to the Hoop De Doo Revue and MNSSHP.

Please help me with my packing.

Incidently, we are staying on-site at All Star Movies.

Any last minute tips for travelling with 3 very excited children would also be much appreciated. (It's a nine hour flight......)

We just can't wait.....

Well, I don't think you can get an accurate forecast that far in advance but here is a LINK to weather.com's Averages and Records in Orlando, for the month of October. You can make general extrapolations from that. In the past when were were there in October we had pretty wet weather, but still fairly warm by most people's standards. I would definitely pack the poncho's and maybe a sweatshirt or lightweight jacket in case the temps are on the cool side. You can always check the forecast closer to your date of travel as well and see if you need to make any changes to your travel wardrobe.

HTH and have a magical day!

small travel toys for the kids

start getting your quarters and pennies and the m&m tube to carry it

start going to the dollar store and stock up on ponchos, ziploc
bags, over the door shoe holder, toiletries, toys

start gathering stuff for your goodie bag to give to the kids
break in the new shoes if you bought some

start going to home depot and get your mickey heads, then start making luggage tags, people tags, kids ID tags out of them.

as far as clothes go, just take lightweight sweaters. October should still be fairly warm.

I pack my kids clothes in ziploc bags. One bag holds shirt, shorts, underwear, and socks for a day. I label them then they just pull the bag out and put the clothes on each morning with NO FUSS! It saves me time and a lot of headaches (not to mention, the morning arguments).

I make two bags of clothes for each day so I can throw an extra set into our backpack when we head out to the parks. Not only does it keep the little ones organized, it makes a lot of extra space in the suitcase!
