Magic Kingdom!

An Epic Dessert and a DIS meet!

Throughout the course of the day, I was texting back and forth with my DIS friend Pam ( @Pinkocto ) who had gotten to WDW that morning! I told her that after dinner, we were going to try and use our FP for PotC and we could meet up after. With that, off we went to attempt Pirates again!








Wouldn’t you know. Down again! Even though it showed as working on the App! It must have changed over as we were walking I texted Pam and told her to meet us whenever she wanted over at the HM. DH ended up taking DS on a stroll somewhere and DM and I waited for a few minutes and saw Pam come up. I was so excited to see her again! We actually stood in the Stand By line, which was close to a 30 minute wait, but it didn’t feel like it. The 3 of us girls chatted the entire time! Perhaps the one time I appreciate a long stand by time.


Once we got off the HM we went in search of DH and DS. DM wanted to do some shopping but I wanted to hang out for a while, so while she went shopping, the four of us went on, again my favorite ride ever, the Peoplemover!


DS was super happy!








Wow, wish this is how it looked all day. It was seriously the busiest I’ve ever seen the MK! The Crowd Calendar predicted a 4 or 5 I believe, but it felt like a 7/8.

It was fun riding during the fireworks and DS totally enjoyed it. I remember being concerned about him not liking the fireworks but when we had gotten off the ride and put him back in his stroller, we stopped for a second to watch them and he watched in awe!





It was so busy, the back area of Main Street was open for guests to use as an additional exit instead of using Main Street. Never seen it before but it sure did get us to the start of the park quicker. We ended up finding DM in one of the shops, getting who knows what. I’m fairly certain whatever it was, it was for DS and my DN. We said our Goodbyes to Pam and told her we’d see her tomorrow at Epcot!


On the monorail we went – have I mentioned how AMAZING it is to be able to use the monorail and not have to use the bus?! It’s heaven.

When we got back to the room, I was beyond excited to finally eat my dessert. Ready?!

I can’t even begin to explain how big this, so I held up a frying pan as an example

DH wanted a ‘sliver’ and after his first bite he wanted more before he had even finished his piece. I’ll admit right now, I’m STINGY when it comes to dessert, but you guys probably already know this. I don't like sharing my dessert. I knew that he would want more so I literally tried to hurry up and finish it. Like all of it. But I’m not a fast eater so he got to me real fast but complemented me on the fact that I had put a huge dent in it. Too bad he didn’t know why The only thing I would ask for next time is more icing. Cause I’m gross


Soon after we all got ready for bed and this next part is amazing. DS was trying to climb into the Pack N’ Play on his own after he got his PJ’s on. I picked him up, put him in there and minutes later, this

Anyway, we still had twenty minutes before our FP window but I wanted to make sure we got in ASAP so we wouldn’t be late for our BOG dinner at 5:15pm. To pass the time, we watched the Captain Jack Sparrow show, with no complaining from me

This is literally the best use of a .gift I've seen in recent memory on anyone's TR -- I feel like you deserve a prize!

Love, love love the pictures of your adorable son going on it's a small world throughout the years - too sweet! I take a picture of DH & my kids in front of the gardens at Le Cellier every year (although this year I don't have a dinner ressie there, i'll have to make sure we stop by just to get the picture!)

See your dilemma with POTC is where FP plus is a big fail. Like you waited to get the FP plus, then you waited 20 minutes to even get in line, and then the ride was down. You could have waited less and actually gotten on the ride. Bummer.

I never knew there was a service animal relief area. I mean I guess I would assume there would be but I never thought of it before.

Your DS looks like he was LOVING the TTA. That ride is always a great choice.

Now after seeing the menu for BOG I kinda want to to go again! Uggh dining choices is so hard.

I've been really enjoying reading your TR but just HAD To comment when I saw this! I'm Irish and Butlers chocolate is too! I love the honeycomb crisp, my favourite is the white chocolate mixed berry though! I never realised they sold them in the UK, I guess they've lumped some Irish stuff in the UK as we DON'T HAVE A PAVILION Nice to know I get some over there if I'm missing the taste of home! I actually just moved to London in the UK and they don't really sell it over it here so I have to keep socking up at Dublin airport!

Weight loss has been in stasis for a few months, but I've been maintaining. Next week I'm going to do a fruit cleanse to get me back on track. I've never done a juice cleanse because juicing just is too much work, but I love a fruit cleanse. I still drink my diet dew though, no disconnecting from caffeine for me.

Your right, i'm assuming they put whatever they could in to the UK Pavilion, but Ireland would make an AMAZING permanent pavilion! I don't know if I saw the white chocolate one?? If we did, DH would have been all over that, he's a huge White Chocolate fan. Ooh London? Very nice. I'd love to visit one day.

I don't know, but I would LOVE to have them. We did go into the Christmas Shoppe at one point at the MK and bought about 4 ornaments and I didn't see them there.

I don't know how you haven't done that in years! I'd be doing it as much as possible if I was on a solo trip! And you're right way creepier. MK's HM is much creepier at night than DL's.

Maintaining is the hardest part cause you're not seeing results but you're not gaining anything either. A fruit cleanse?! Interesting is it only raw fruits?

We've never been able to get an ADR for dinner at BOG - though I must admit at least 43.653% of the reason I want one is so I can have an alcoholic drink inside the Magic Kingdom.

Oh, those major, um, deposits that come during dinner are always an issue and not fun and you just want to deal with it as quickly as you can. Glad you son did well when Beast came by at least.

Sorry that Pirates of the Caribbean was down so much, but glad things worked out with meeting up with Pam and you had time to chat with her on line at HM

Yeah for the people mover again ... it is fun to get to see fireworks from that ride. Glad your son did well with the fireworks as well.

Definitely have to love the convenience factor related to being on a monorail resort. Especially when children and a stroller are involved.

Glad you enjoyed your dessert other than the lack of enough icing. Maybe Disney can convert the cheese sauce dispensers they are no longer using to allow people to pour on as much icing as they want
