I can FINALLY be excited

Yes, if you are a group of 30 people, you need to go the cheapest route to DLR! Yikes! These are some inlaws you have, footing the bill for all that! That is a big crowd! The largest group I ever went with was about 11 or 12 people, and that was even a little hard to control! One person would get left behind while the other ten went wandering off. It was crazy, but fun.

I don't know why people don't listen to me.;) This same friend who got on TSMM at the last minute ALSO did not take my advice to upgrade her tickets to Hoppers the night before she went into DL, so she could avoid the lines at the ticket booths in the morning. Instead, she upgraded them in the morning and got stuck in a long line. She admits she should have listened to me because she wasted a lot of time in the line!:sad2:

Well they kinda came into an inheritance and it's their 50th anniversary so I guess it's a big party all the way around LOL

haha teaches your friend! Maybe from now on she'll listen ROFL

Ahh... an inheritance will definitely help with Disney trips!

Yes, my friend should have listened to me! Don't ask me about foreign policy or politics, but Disney I know! Actually, I don't know what time my friend's Goofy's Kitchen meal was today. We just had a pretty good sized earthquake and I wonder if she was eating or was still in Downtown Disney as it was happening!

Ya scary!

Have you gone to any other character meals??

Yes. I have eaten at Storytellers Cafe twice. Goofy's I have eaten at countless times. The most recent Storytellers Cafe breakfast was in December. They do a character buffet for breakfast in the morning and then I THINK it is just a regular buffet the rest of the day. You can also order off the menu there all day long, unlike at Goofy's. However, I found that, for what I was paying for my off-the-menu breakfast at SC and the amount of food I got, I would have gotten more for my buck just by getting the buffet. It almost makes more sense to get the buffet. Anyway, I did the SC breakfast buffet back in 2001. Both in 2001 and 2007, there were plenty of characters around. I call them the 'woodsy' Disney characters, like Chip and Dale, random bears from "Brother Bear," Baloo from Jungle Book and other forest/jungle Disney characters show up from time to time. I think Rafiki from "Lion King" has popped in here and there. They come around to the table and give you chances to take pictures and they interact with the kids. You usually get buttons at all the character meals, too.

At Goofy's, not only do you get the regular Goofy and Pluto appearances, but Chip and Dale as well, sometimes Baloo, and depending on what Disney movie is out at that time, maybe a character or two from the latest movie. Aladdin is often there, as is Jasmine. Jafar used to appear but not so much now. Sometimes the Mad Hatter comes in and stirs up mischief. We used to see Belle and the Beast a lot. It is fun. I just like the GK buffet better than at SC, but you will find there are many people on this board who prefer SC or even one of the other ones, like the Lilo and Stitch buffet or the ones IN the parks. SO it all depends on who your kids would rather see, I guess. Do they want princesses at Ariel's Grotto, or 'woodsy' characters, or a good ol' time with Goofy and Friends?

That's a good question. I've been a slacker mom and they're just NOW getting used to disney characters.

Maybe the princesses. HMMMMM They do know goofy and pals tho. Really well.
