I can charge things to my room???

I was just doing a little more reading and came across a statement that said I can charge things to my room (by staying at DLR)?? Like what things? And how??

Hello,
You can put almost all purchases to your room, to be paid when you check out or to the card that you have on file. Also, you can have your purchases that you make in the parks delivered to your room for you. A really nice perk. You still have to pay for it, but it's more convenient.

You can use your room key to charge things to your room if you are staying at the Disney properties. It basically works like a credit card and is just added to your room bill. You can use it in either of the parks and some restaurants in DTD, and of course in all of the hotel restaurants.

No charge. The only bad thing is you cannot get them until the next morning (all the deliveries are made during the night).

When you stay at one of the 3 DLR hotels, you get what is called the Key to the Magic. This is new. It is your room key AND your charge slip all in one card, whereas in the past there was a key and a separate charge slip. As previously stated you can charge your food and other purchases to this key/card (they will connect it to your credit card).

When I buy something in the parks, I have to have it sent back to the hotel because I am a klutz and don't want to risk carrying around even the smallest item in the parks. Plus, it saves the trouble of having to rent an expensive locker or schlepping all the way back to the hotel to drop off the purchase. Your packages are available at 7:00 a.m. the next morning. This works fine for me. The only way it would NOT be good is if you needed to have access to your purchases that same day, like if you have anxious kids. But if you spend a FULL day and night in the parks, and don't get back to the room until late, chances are you won't be thinking about surveying your purchases when you are bone-tired and it's late. There is no charge for this service - you just have to be a DLR hotel guest. I think it is a vital service to have and I rely it when I buy something!

And being a DLR hotel guest, you can also use your Key to the Magic and your ticket to enter DCA through the special GCH entrance.
