I tried spraying my pan with no-stick spray this year and it ended up burning my seeds.
I wonder if I can con my DD into scooping out another pumpkin for me.
Sorry to hijack, but do you eat pumpkin seeds with or without the shell (so like a sunflower seed where you spit the shell, or just eat the whole thing?)
I eat the whole thing. I did just realize that I can buy some tomorrow and just cut them in half to get the seeds out, not like I need to preserve them for carving. I HATE cleaning out pumpkins, DD loves it.
I've always wondered the same thing! Do you eat the pumpkin seed shell? I know you can but they don't sell them unshelled in the stores.
Shell? Ick. It's like balsam wood.
I take the time and shell every seed.
Hmm, is balsam wood edible? Is it a healthy snack? 'Cause I love the shells![]()
It's probably how I cook them that turns them this way... soaked in salt, no oils or other spices.
Glad you found a solution!
I always eat the seeds whole, but then I started thinking about it and wondered if that was proper or if I would wind up growing a pumpkin in my stomach![]()
