Both in separate bottles - both in liquid form. Does anyone know which I should apply first? And how long should I wait until I apply the second? Thanks.

Fertilizer first, weed killer after, as the weed killer has to remain on the weeds to kill them. Also, make sure it is weed killer, like Weed-B-Gon, not an overall vegitation killer, like Roundup. Also, do not apply the weed killer till the weeds are actually growing and have leafed out, as it is a killer, not a preventer, and must land on weeds to kill them. A preventer would also inhibit grass growth. Spray on a non-windy day, when rain is not in the forecast. Wear long pants, gloves, regular shoes, not sandals.

ETA, if you had granular, growing weeds must be damp for the grandules to adhere to them in order to kill them. Again, no rain after.

Can you do both? Scott's has a fertilizer called Weed & Feed. Kills weeks and feeds the lawn at the same time. Works great!

My DH said take back the liquid and get the granular it will last longer and better for the lawn.

Just wanted to add - although this is NOT for the whole lawn - but for getting rid of a weed here or there, or for edging, I spray some vinegar on it. Works like a charm. And, I don't have to worry about it being harmful to the dog.
