A friend of ours just told us that they will be getting married while we are away at Disney in September. So I had to rearrange everything (still have to change airfare).

I called MS this morning to see about availability for the first few days of October and was told they had Boardwalk view studios available for the 3 nights I needed! (the 7 month window was 2 weeks ago for my dates)

So you never know unless you try if you can get a Boardwalk view!

Congrats!!! We got a BW view 1 bedroom in July at exactly the 7 month mark. We're looking forward to the view!! I actually had a shot at a standard view 1 bedroom, but DH decided he wanted the view not the extra nights!!! So, more nights of pampering at the GF for me, what a horror!!!

Hi,

Congrats!!! Enjoy!

Wow! That is great. I am a bit surprised since the Food and Wine Festival is starting the beginning of October this year. But as you said, you never know unless you try!
Have a wonderful trip!

Congratulations!! What a nice treat! The Boardwalk, a wedding and F & W... sounds like a great trip!

SUPER !!!!

Sounds like a "Great Time" !!! Enjoy !!!:hyper: :hyper:

BTW.....I booked @ the BC last June for our May 04 vacation.
3 weeks ago I found out that I needed 2 more nights to coincide with other added timeshare weeks..........

Got the BC !! :bounce: Im soooooo Happy !!! :bounce:

:jumping1:

Is the Boardwalk view hard to get at 7 months? I thought it would be less difficult than Standard View. I'll be trying for the Boardwalk view, 1 BR, for next January. I'd thought it wouldn't be too difficult-now I'm a little nervous.

Yes it is. I believe that only 10% of the rooms at BWV have the coveted BW view. Granted most BWV members book the SV first (I know I would) and probably BW view being 2nd.

Yes, this is the main reason I was surprised. Maybe many don't know that the F & W festival is starting earlier this year?

We are already booked in a BW view one bedroom for 5 nights (I wasn't about to give that up - I don't care whose wedding it is!) and now we are following that with these 3 nights in a BW studio. 8 nights BW view - doesn't get much better than that!

Thanks to all for the congrats!!

That's great! It gives me some hope also. I can't book my October vacation until next month and I'm worried what will be left. I'll cross my fingers.

Mid February upgraded to a 1 bedroom for the begining of May (11 weeks) and was offered a Boardwalk view. Thought that was a nice unexpected surprise since we usually stay at the BCV's but they had no openings.

I got a Boardwalk View Studio for three days in August-booked a few weeks ago!

I also just booked a GV at Boardwalk( 4 nights) for the person renting my points( for cruise) . It was for Sept 22-26 and it was less than 7 months out.

Congratulations!

I just booked preferred view Boardwalk today at 7 months and 1 day out for an October long weekend. They didn't give me the Boardwalk view option -- only the Garden or Pool view. I chose pool view, but I'm not really sure which I want. I'm assuming Boardwalk View was sold out and that's why it wasn't an option for us. :(

Any suggestions in regards to pool or garden?

Does Luna Park Pool tend to get really loud?

Luna Park is no quieter nor is it any louder than the main pools are at any of the WDW resorts. The main pools at all WDW resorts tend to have the most traffic and activity because they are usually centrally located and they also provide all the added amenities of: a pool slide, lifeguards, pool bar, snack bar, kiddie pool, hot tub, etc. Usually all the main pools tend to get much less crowded at night when the slide, snack bar, etc are closed and the life guards are off duty. Then although there will still be people at the main pool, the quiet pools also tend to pick up activity.
Bottom line.....No Luna Park is not/does not get really loud, it is a main pool that comes with all the usual activity, noise etc., that all main pools do.
We prefer the quiet pool villas because I like having the view of the waterway to MGM and I LOVE the hot tub there!!!! It is wonderful for a nice, relaxing, private soak after a long day in the parks! ::yes::

I've never had a preferred view at BWV before...just standard. So if I wanted the quiet pool view, should i request that upon check-in since I already requested pool view? Or is this something I should call MS about?
