Is this something I will have a problem providing later? The phone agent told me they can book me a flight, but i'm thinking it will be cheaper to pay for it on my own. Should I just go ahead and have disney agent book it for me, if not too late? Thanks!

My air fare through Disney was about $100 cheaper per person than I could get on my own. It was about the same as the lowest fare I could have gotten through Southwest on a Ding fare, so I was happy to have it at a more convenient time and airport for the same price. Why not have Disney check it for you and see what the price comes out too?

I'm going early October and already have my packaged book. We just decided to fly. I was told to just call back with the info as soon as I had it.

What I have found to be very effective is that I get on American Airlines website (cheaper fares than Orbitz.com most of the time). Their website is www.aa.com .

I then write down all of the flight numbers, times and days and then call Disney Travel. They always seem to find the exact flight numbers, times and days and at the same price. I chose to sign with Disney Travel. I believe that should something go wrong, Disney will do whatever they can to assist. Plus I have my hotel reservations through them as well so it is all handled by one entity.

Good luck! :flower:

I also let Disney quote me an airfare, and then while I had them on the phone, I looked the same flight up on the airlines own website. Disney actually undercut the airlines own website for the particular fare I wanted.

I believe the Disney agent I spoke with said that Disney buys airfares at a set contract rate that does not fluctuate, so the fare is the same for any flight between a given set of cities.

I used that knowledge and booked direct non-stop flights during preferred flying times.

Bottom line is to at least let Disney make you an offer to bundle the air portion of your trip. You can't find the best deal if you don't know what all the players are willing to offer.

I know that Disney used to charge $30 for Mear's bus, when Mear's sold that service for $29, but for me the extra $1 per person w s worth having everything consoidated under one travel agent.
