I Blame FP+....

I am so happy to hear about your wonderful trip! Reading the threads has made me a bit apprehensive too. On the flipside I was thinking that it will be nice not to have to drag everyone out to get to the park for FPs.

Thank you so much for sharing!

You're so welcome! I'm so glad to offer some peace of mind. Have a wonderful trip!

We did MK on 2/21 & 2/22 and loved FP+. It worked flawlessly. I had originally selected FP times in the afternoon so I could adjust after seeing how things went in the morning. It was great to just pull out my phone and swap times/rides. FP+ definitely made MK more enjoyable for us.

Thanks kind of why I did it that way. I figured if I posted "love FP+" with hearts and flowers then FP+ haters may just skip it all together. I admit before I went I might have skipped a post like that. I wanted to read every negative thing to prepare myself for the worst. Now I just realize all of my worry was for nothing!

I love the way you phrased it and thanks for the positive review! I love to hear both sides. So glad you had a great time!

I like the title. Will make people click it and have a surprise.

The title got me! I was fooled until I read the first sentance. Made me :)

To the OP. Thanks for the postive post. 2 friends of mine were there in early Feb (both wdw frequenters) and both gave me good reviews on FP+. We don't try it out til Sept but I was glad my friends had a great time with it.

How dare you use YOUR profile on social media to name the thread whatever YOU want to lol :rotfl:.

I really like the hook title and it totally yanked me into the thread!

We used our new MB/FP+ last Sept, when it was quite new, and had no issues at all. Admittedly, we go during a time of very low attendance so we hardly need FP, only for the most popular rides and attractions. No glitches, no misunderstandings, etc. It hardly made a difference in the way we do the parks.

Sigh, about park commandoes. *raising hand guiltily* We love getting there at RD, and usually shut the parks down. But both of our kids are troupers and they're running right beside us the whole day :). Our youngest does tire out a bit quicker, so we catch lots of snacks, browse lots of shops for souvenirs, and don't mind at all if we have to find a shady spot or gift shop to just decompress for a few.

One of these days, we'll take a leisurely trip to WDW, not worry about RD, not worry about fitting in as much as we can, not….not…. NOT gonna happen, haha :lmao:. It's all in your style, and commando is just how we roll (no, that doesn't mean what it sounds like :rotfl:).

I'm glad to hear your trip was awesome, and I hope for nothing but robust health for your son.

I am glad that there are people who are benefiting from the new system. Perhaps these people are part of WDW's new target market. :thumbsup2

Enjoy like my family and I did years ago!

Your title definitely made me click through expecting to hear some complaints - and things to avoid. I was pleasantly surprised to find the positive.
Thanks for posting!! :)

We'll be there in about 3 weeks. Our daughter has epilepsy and I have MS so we really have to be careful about overdoing it too. This will be our third trip, but first with FPP, so I'm glad to hear it worked so well for you.
Try not to feel guilty about the seizure, my daughter has had many and no one can tell me why. I still, like you, blame myself though. I think it's just what we mothers do!

For the most magical vacation ever! There I said it. I was so nervous about it before we headed out for our nine night stay at POFQ during President's Day week, but I can't believe how wonderful it was!

Yes... We're that lazy family that doesn't make RD... My DS actually had a seizure and passed out in AK last year and though the doctors could never find what caused it, I worry my commando touring style contributed. This trip, we got to the parks when we got there. We knew we had the 3 FPs everyday, so we enjoyed all of the other things the parks had to offer. DS is now a bit obsessed with Sorcerers of the MK. Last year I would have thought we didn't have time for that. This year we made it to the night shows... Because we weren't running to the parks at 7am. We met more characters. We relaxed. We had a real vacation, and I attribute that to FP+ and of course to my own realization that I needed to slow down. I completely understand why some hate FP+. If my DS could keep up with that touring style I'm sure I would hate it too. I know we might not be typical, but this trip was the best trip I've ever taken. I had no intention of planning another any time soon, but I'm already tentatively planning for next February again. Just my 2 cents :). I figured this might be good for people like me reading who are trying to see if FP+ can actually benefit them.

AWESOME:woohoo:

I almost didn't open the thread since I'm so sick and tired of the negativity. Glad I did!

I think FP+ is the perfect solution for families who need to slow down a bit. I thought it would be hard to slow down, but it was actually very enjoyable for all of us.
That mom guilt is hard to overcome, but we'll be ok. We can't be too bad considering we're bringing our children to Disney world. Lol. I hope both you and your daughter are happy and healthy during your trip!

Vicky, I love your title and your post and whatever it is you've been doing with your hair lately because it looks fantaaaastic... ;) :)

Anyway, I admit when I saw the title I was like "ok, here we go again, another round of the ole back and forth regarding fp+" :headache:
Thanks for the good vibes :goodvibes...we are looking forward to it this June.
