i banked points now i want them

OH OH!! I just banked my Aug year points. Now my sister is going in Jan 07 I would love to go for a couple of days. What are my options? can I borrow points from 08 or can I borrow the ones I just banked?

If you banked your Aug 06 points into Aug 07, you can't unbank them and you won't be able to use them until Aug 1, 2007. You could borrow from your Aug 07 points for Jan 07.

If you have pts available from next year you can borrow. I ended up doing this because my brain fails me from time to time. We had booked AKL for free dining, and then decided to buy DVC.

We have a Feb UY. I was going to keep the CRO reservation for September, so I banked all my 06 points, and made our ressie for the family trip in February 2007. This left 70 points in my 07 UY. Well, I crunched the numbers and figured out that for what I was paying for the package at AKL, I could get a studio on pts, BUY the DDP, and get AP's for us AND buy our plane tickets....well, I decided to stay at BWV. So, I borrowed the 70 points I needed for the reservation from 2007. Yes the CM at MS chuckled, but WITH me, not AT me.

You won't be able to get the banked points back, but you can borrow from the next UY.

And remember once you borrow the points they have to be used by the end of the Use Year you move them to. If something happens to the January trip you'll need to make use of the points by July 31, 2007
