I banked points, now I realized I messed up.

We are new to DVC, I have an Oct. use year. I banked all of my 170 points because we intended on travelling the first week of November during Jersey week. Due to the airfare being outrageous, we want to change our res. to October, which would allow me to use my current points. The rooms are available however I don't have enough to borrow to change the reservation.
Has Member Services ever unbanked points??

Banking is a final transaction. However, I'm not sure why you can't just "borrow" those exact same points that you just banked. Shouldn't be a problem unless you cancel the October trip.

October would start your Oct 2009 UY. You are still in your 08 UY right now.

You get your points on the 1st of October so you should be OK. You would have 2008 points and 2009 plus you could borrow from 2010 if you travel Oct 1 2009 or later.

With an October Use Year, banked points (as well as current points) are available from October 1 thru September 30. You should be fine for an October reservation.

We are Jersey people, we were going to come down during Jersey week because it was easy with my son being off from school. However, the airlines apparantly know when the NJEA Teachers convention is. Our airfare would have been around $2,000.00 during the convention (which is held in Atlantic City not Orlando) instead of the normal area of $750.00 for all of us. Thanks again. John

Actually, you HAVE to bank your 2008 points if you want to use them for any vacation that begins on or after October 1, 2009.

So it's a good thing that you banked them.

As others have posted, when you have an October use year, the points are good from 10/1 through 9/30 of the following year.
