I would be exactly the same way , and I would do exactly the same thing, I woldn't tell her until she absolutely needed to know, there's no need for her to worry for a year , she's a child and if she's like my dd, she worries about everything and makes herself sick, your dd doesn't need that.

I just want to let you know you are not alone! Look at all of these WISHer's who are sending prayers and pixie dust your way. Count me in!

I also want to let you know that I can relate to your anxiety and fear over this. My DS (9 now) was born 3 months early and he had so many medical complications. He, too, needed heart surgery and he was under 2 lbs when he had it! I was an absolute wreck for his first year of life. I literally felt physical pain during that first year, and my heart ached so. We all got through it though, and I can honestly say I am stronger for it, and my DH feels the same way.

Our children are so very precious, aren't they?!! I think you are doing the right thing by sparing Sarah from details until she has the need to know.
