Posting about my fears for my daughter (another Sarah ) on WISH and all the support I received really helped me (and Sarah) cope with our recent separation.

Off topic? I truly believe that nothing is "off topic" when it comes to weight issues. Everything that happens in our lives affects how we cope with our individual food "issues". The support we receive here, in difficult times and good times, gives us more strength to cope. And you have a large role in that!! We are ever so grateful.

Please let us know how Sarah is doing!

I've read through each post and am sitting here crying! I can't thank you enough for your kind words.

SARAH IS DOING WONDERFUL!! Her heart is back to it's normal size, she has grown 2 1/2 inches and gained 10 pounds since her surgery last year. (so, that's why her clothes no longer fit!! ). This is amazing since she was barely 40 pounds at 8 years old.

She still has narrowing in 2 arteries and a small leak but, he feels it will correct itself with time. We go back in one year and every 2 years after that. She still has to have antibiotic therapy for Dental procedures and can never have piercing or tattoos (not a bad thing ). But, she is healthy, happy and growing stronger.

Thank you again for your support, I can't tell you how much this means to me.

FWIW, I have a dd who turns 9 next week who is only 41 pounds!! And she DIDN'T have a heart defect, so I think your little Sarah is doing WONDERFULLY!!! God makes them in all shapes and sizes!
