It's not even the official Xmas season and already people are SO RUDE! At K-Mart, actually it's a Big K, people were EVERYWHERE. When I would say excuse me, so I could get past someone, I got dirty looks or they just plain ignore you. There were empty carts left ALL over the store and NONE in the front.

And when I checked out, I noticed a lady behind me and then these 2 men just cut in front of her. She said "oh were you in line?" and they said yes! NOT!!!!!!!!! Then my favorite, they started talking to each other in spanish. Nothing against my bi-lingual friends but you have to wonder if they are talking about you?!

I think I'll just skip Xmas or do all my shopping on-line........

Bah-Humbug!!
But not to you, Pembo! I am right there with you - I went to the new Super Walmart and it was the same situation as you. I had to grab a bottle of Pepsi at the checkout and chug it down on the drive home to calm my nerves!

I am just about done with my shopping and I have been doing some online as well. The crowds and rudeness seem to get worse every year. I asked the clerk when there was a slow time to come and shop, they're open 24 hours, and she said there wasn't any slow time!!

I hate shopping, I just hate it. Sad, huh?

I'm going to do my shopping online this year, I think :)

Today we went to Target and some people definitely needed to take a "happy pill"!
There was a lady shopping with her little girl and they were completely blocking the aisle. I stood there waiting to see if the mom would get the hint, but she didn't. I said to the little girl, "Honey, can you make some room for me to get through?". The little girl was really sweet (she smiled) and she moved the cart out of the way. The mom turned to me and I honestly thought she was going to hit me! Then I said to the little girl, "Thank you sweetheart".;) :p

It's only going to get worse. Thankfully, I'm almost done with my shopping!

I have almost all of my Christmas shopping done and did about almost all of it online.

I hate to shop people are rude, but I just say excuse me and go on about my shopping.

Sorry to say the rudeness exists here in Michigan also. My daughter commented on how rude people were when we shopped at Meijers today. My three grandchildren that were with us have more manners! What happened to all the "niceness" I encountered after 9/11? I guess people forget too quickly.

I try to get the stores when they first open and there aren't toomany people there...I am lucky because based on my work schedule I do have days off during the week, so this makes it a little easier.

I have done more catalog and on-line shopping these last few years. I also do a lot of gift certificates, magazine subscriptions etc.

Except for Black Friday which is really a fun day out for my sister and I, most of my shopping is on-line:D

I hardly ever go to K-Mart but did this past week. Right after I dropped DS off at school at 7 a.m.! I was in the store by 7:15 and out by 7:45. NO CROWDS! :teeth:

I completely agree. Last week I encountered an elderly couple arguing in the toy aisle of Walmart and nobody could get by them.....and in Kohls there was a "gentleman" swearing loudly at his SO......fa la la la la.....

It sounds like all of the niceties that people displayed with one another, post 9/11, is starting to wear off. Sad! :(

We only go to the discount stores on a weekend in an emergency. Otherwise you will see me in Wal Mart at about 9am on a Mon. Not too bad then.

Yes, that type of shopping is all the time around here.

The 9/11 niceness wore off by January 2002 around here.

I've never had anyone rude at Target though. Walmart, another story.. but the absoluete worst is the grocery store.. that is the pits!

I'm doing most of my shopping on-line again this year. I only shop locally when I hear of a really good deal. I just don't like fighting the crowds or cranky shoppers. It's much more fun to shop in my jammies and fluffy slippers. :)

This is the very reason that I do christmas shopping all year long. I'm done shopping except for stocking stuffers for my dh and sil. I love going to the mall at christmas time just to see the christmas decorations. But actually shopping at the mall this time of year is out of the question.
