I am trying the Once-a-Month-Cooking and have ????

Wow! These marinades sound sooooo good. I've gotten into the habit of cooking/prepping food on the weekend, for use throughout the week, and these recipes will be perfect for that. Thank you so much for sharing. I think chicken breasts are on sale this week.

I clean my George Foreman the same way MerryPoppins described, and it works like a charm.

Wow -- this sounds so nice and easy. I'm going to have to give this "DUMP" business a try.

Finally got around to copying these. Deb, in the South of the Border one what should "½ vegetable or olive oil" read? 1/2 what? Thanks.

 It is starting to snow in my neck of the woods....so I am going to fill the house with the smell of roasting garlic....my family will be so excited (and impressed!) Thanks to you all! Especially pirate:

 Oops! I missed that. When I went back to check the original recipe, that's all I had. :confused3 I can tell you, though, that from the others it's probably 1/2 cup.

However, I never use that much! If I put any oil in before freezing, I add 1/8 cup (2 Tablespoons). If I don't add it before freezing, I'll add 1/8 cup to the bag & squish it around just before putting on the grill - just to keep it from sticking. If I'm baking it, I usually spray the pan with my Misto if I skipped it earlier.

I think the oil separates & we limit our fat intake anyway.

I edited my original post now. Thanks!

Thanks for those marinade recipes. I especially like the fact they are not "cream of ~" recipes.

Here's a link of my fave OAMC site where I often refer back to the recipes : http://snider.mardox.com/OAMC.htm

Wow! What a terrific website, grlpwrd! I've bookmarked it for exploring, later, but I'm sure I'll visit it often. She's got lots of great info. :flower:

Thanks goodness I finally found this link again! These boards are dreadfully slow tonight!
Looks like I will be busy tomorrow!

So what are you making tomorrow :)? It's amazing how many posts are resurfacing lately!

Chicken was on sale today and I now have the first 3 Dump recipes in my freezer for a total of 9 meals for DH and I! They all sound great- I love Dump Cake so these are right up my alley.

Piratesmate- one question. For the cranberry recipe, where do you find cranberry juice? I can only seem to find the cranberry juice cocktail. Is it a frozen juice or jarred? Thank you for all of the recipes- I am very big on freezer storage and leftovers so I know that DH will kiss your hand should we ever meet!

That's how I do mine! We buy 3 or 4 family packs of boneless chicken & marinate it all! ;) Mmmmm :teeth:

About the cranberry juice....I'm pretty sure I did a copy & paste of those recipes rather than typing them from their original source. I never noticed that it just said "juice" not "cocktail". I've always just used the cocktail....although I'll often use the cran-raspberry. I think years ago you could buy cranberry juice in the frozen section, but I don't know if you still can.

OK, so far we tried the Teryiaki (grilled, loved it! Be great for wings.), the Garlic Lime (wonderful), and the Creole (wonderful with beans and rice). DH is a fan and says thank you!

Bumping because I LOVE the concept of "all in the freezer bag" meals.
We buy the fresh chicken breasts at Costco and I always marinate them before I freeze them - this is taking it a step further....

Got any more, Deb???

The Triple Citrus chicken is fantastic! Its also wonderful cold tossed in a salad. Only one "dump chicken" package left in the freezer- waiting for a sale on fresh boneless chicken breasts! :teeth:

"I can't wait to try all these recipes for marinade, and I've just discovered using a George Forman grill. I still have trouble cleaning it after cooking chicken or steak with any kind of marinade (been using the bottled stuff), but that's a whole different topic!"

Try putting wet paper towels on grill and closing grill. Let it set for awhile and clean-up is easier.

Thanks for all the posts the recipes sound delicious. Can't wait to try them.
