I am still walking around in disbelief...did I die and go to heaven? UPDATE:pictures

Congratulations! What an amazing transformation!

I've lost 30 myself in the past year, just a few more to go.

OK..here are my pictures.

I think this was taken when I was down about 30 pounds. See how happy I look compared to the 1st picture?

This is at a 60 pound weight loss taken last year.

Last night. This is me in my medium sized scrub top. I am telling my DD how to adjust the zoom on the camera when she snapped the picture! Anyway, the pants are the infamous 3/4 and I can't believe how big a medium looks on me.

I changed the shirt, so this is me today.

You are AWESOME, lady!! :woohoo:

WOW!!! I don't even know you and I am proud of you!!:lmao:
Brag all you want, you have earned it!! What a great accomplishment! Congrats!

On a side note, I always thought that someone who is 5'3" could go from a low of 110lbs to a high of 120lbs to be a "normal, healthy" weight for that height.:confused3 I am 5'3" and am currently 112lbs. Before kids I was 96lbs and it was way too thin. I looked anorexic! Please don't loose 20 more pounds! You look fantastic now!

Amazing! What a wonderful acheivement. I started phentermine today and you have totally inspired me! Thank you

AWESOME!!!!! great job!!!! :thumbsup2

OP, this is FANTASTIC! I'm so excited for you, but the thrill you must feel is something only someone in your situation could comprehend! Celebrate (take a trip to Disney World!!). I have about 20 to lose. College weight and holiday weight have been coming and going, in a cycle, and now they're back and I really will use your story as an inspiration. :cheer2:

I use the Wii Fit and we have the Gazelle which I will use while I watch my TV shows, and when the weather gets nicer (it's finally starting to!) I will walk, but just knowing that I am doing it for the purpose of exercising and losing weight (which seems impossible) makes me less motivated and makes it seem like such a chore, although each of those activities is in reality fun. I will remember this thread every time I feel like putting off the exercise to another day.

Wow. Just wow.

How do you feel? You have got to feel like a different person. Can you tell that you are not carrying around all of the extra weight?

Personal Question: Do you have any loose skin? It does NOT appear that you do and I find that amazing:woohoo: :worship:

You just look good. Decades younger.

I can't imagine how proud you must be:goodvibes

Brag on!

Thank you so much for your post, it's given ME the courage to continue my own weight loss journey. You prove that IT CAN BE DONE! I've lost 115 pounds since August 2008 by basically cutting calories, zero fast food, and daily exercise. I still have about another 100 pounds I'd like to lose. We'd like to schedule a reward trip to Disney World in December but I'm still not sure I'll be ready yet.

I'm thankful for 100 calorie snacks/chips, and Lean Pockets!

Keep up the great work! You've probably encouraged more people than you'll ever know.

First I want to say :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:You have every right to share this amazing achievement with everyone! Losing weight is not easy and sharing your joy helps more people than you could possible know!

It's funny, because I have a friend who has been telling me for years to just cut out white flour and sugar. I could never do it, because I just couldn't imagine NEVER eating anything with sugar or white flour again.

After years of struggling, under a Dr's care and a nutrionist, I couldn't even lose ten pounds. I finally gave in, and cut out sugar and white flour. I eat lots of salads and protein.

I want to join you in this. I also never thought that I could modify the way I eat and the way I cook but I joined WW and followed the CORE plan, not the "SImply Filling plan. It is basically what you did, whole grains, very limited white sugar and flour, lean protien and plenty of fruits adn veggies. For my family it is a lifesaver...............literally

Once again, thank you for sharing how you achieved you goal!

Congrats to you! Bragging rights sure are in order.

While I've never had a weight problem, I did see one of my DD go through weight loss. It took her a year to lose over 70 pounds. That was some 8-9 years ago. She still runs 5 miles 4-5 times a week and visits the gym every day.

YAY! Good for you!!! :dance3:

I'm so excited and thrilled for you - I really am! How exciting!!!

FYI - The GAP is giving 30% off a new pair of jeans, if you bring in an old pair - until March 14th! It's time to go get some new 3/4 jeans!! :yay:

.

Can I link you to something?

You kinda, sorta, pretty much lowered your (crappy, refined) carb intake - which IMO is absolutely the best way to drop pounds. And it can be hard, at times (you know that! :) )

I send everyone I know this article because it seems to be so true.

Don't fall off that wagon. All your suffering of no cookies, and no ice cream, and not hot, yummy rolls, can be lost - and it's HARD to get back on that wagon, and it never falls off like it does the first time around.

You did SO good! You're tiny!!! :thumbsup2

Congrats to you! It sounds like you are on a type of South Beach diet, which is how we are eating in our house now, although we have been fortunate that we don't have a lot to lose..we're doing it it because we have some to lose and some just to try to eat healthier, as our glucose tests were inching up. I don't even miss the flour and sugar. We do have potatoes and rice occasionally, but not like we used to, maybe once a month. Are you eating out at all? That's the hardest for us, because most things come with a cream sauce, which has flour, or has some sort of pasta (which we very seldom eat now). We also go out with friends a lot, to restaurants. So many well meaning people like the words, go on, a little won't hurt you.
If you haven't tried it we use spaghetti squash now for our pasta..and actually crave it! I even cook it with olive oil, garlic and shrimp.
Because of the sugar in fruit, I've cut down a lot on my fruit, but that is something I miss a lot. I do keep it in mind that fruit, even with the sugar is better than candy though.
Good luck to you in the future. It sounds like something you really wanted, and I'm so glad you have had such great success. It's work, this dieting, since we all have food in our homes. It's not like out of sight, out of mind. It's just always there.

Congratulations! You are awesome! We did the same type of eating habits adjustment over a year ago, and it was so successful for both DBF and I. Pasta meals are almost unheard of here anymore, we limit the bread (but we still buy white, because that is what we like), I never cooked much potatoes, and I cut out rice. By eating lots of veggies, and going out of the mindset that you need potatoes, pasta or rice to go with your meal, we eat well, not as much (we listen to the "not hungry" signal), and feel much better! Everyone wants to know what is our secret, and I tell them it's simple. Not easy, but simple!
