I am spreading the news!

These sound very interesting, and possibly a good thing to try, but I HAVE to try on new shoes, because many sit wrong on my toes and end up hurting my feet! Are they sold at any stores where you can try on before you buy? And if so, which stores? Thanks!

Another vote for Orthaheel. I have learned some styles work better for me than others...I think I stretched out a pair on my last disney trip....my feet swell with all of the walking and heat. :(

I got mine at my local Fleet Feet, but you can also order them on Zappos. They have a very generous return policy. You can't return them if they are worn a lot, but you can definitely wear them around the house a little but. They pay return shipping as well.

Glad I am not the only one! I tried a pair (they recommended breaking them in a little each day). I sent them back after wearing in the house for a week. My feet were killing me!

I ended up with Teva Tierra and NB 1540s. Ahhh,,, much better!

I bought my first pair of Teva Tierras one month ago and I LOVE them. I've been vacationing so hiking, walking on the beach and museums (museums are usually the worst for my feet) with minimal pain. Usually I wear sneakers with arch support inserts for lot of walking but the Tevas are just as good and much cooler and waterproof. I have plantar fasciitis, a very high arch, heel spurs and some arthritis in my feet. Until now, the best shoes for me have been Naots and Clark's clogs, but those are only good for day to day wear, not for days with heavy walking.

Dansko and Birkenstocks hurt my feet.

And another demonstration of the principle of YMMV.

I also have PF, and insanely high arches. Tevas absolutely destroy my feet -- every time I try them I end up bleeding. You see, I also have a natural "pump bump", Haglund's Deformity. The Tevas hit that spot on my Achilles tendon dead on and rub terribly, even through moleskin.

Crocs don't work well for me, either. They are not torture devices like the Tevas, but they don't help me in any way, so there are better choices for my feet.

My best luck so far has been with Merrells and/or Clark's Privos.

I got the Orthaheel Tide and they really make my leg hurt, I've tried them two times and both time my leg really hurt afterward. I am disappointed, I was hoping for a great sandal. Back to Teva I guess.

I LOVE. All my orthaheels. I got three new ones this summer and wear a pair every day. I don't have flat feet but I did have somewhat fallen arches.
I had a bit of break in time one afternoon the first time I tried them. But after that, they are so very comfy and I really like the styles.. Very fashion forward for an orthotic type sandal. I'm a qvc girl so easy pay is a nice perk as well. I wear them or a pair of bare trap (also thong style) everyday and at Disney all day as well. LOVE the naked feet feel compared closed up and hot sneakers ...
Plus so awesome to take them off when riding Soar'n. :)

Update on my Orthoheels and PF. I bought a pair of flip flops and I love them.i then had a foot doctor appt and he saw my shoes and said they were great for PF. He recommended i buy more shoes, including the slippers and to always have one of them on my feet.

The Orthoheels slippers are amazing..

I have multiple pairs of orthaheel's, some I love and some not so much. My only negative comment is I wish they would use better materials.I would be willing to pay the difference.
