I am spreading the news!

I know the pain of plantar fasciitis, too. I now have several pair of Orthaheels sandals. I wear a 71/2 normally but order a 7 in Orthaheels. I was told that you just drop down the half size only. I have a flat, narrow foot and they work well for me. Another flip flop, montrail molokini, is great for water parks as well. I always thought buying expensive shoes was such a waste until I was first diagnosed with PF. Now, I will hand over money for comfortable shoes that I can wear. I like that Orthaheel sandals are cuter than other sandals. I don't want to wear shoes that look like grandma's shoes, yet. (Although I did fork over some money on a pair of Finn Comfort that did look like my g-ma's, before I knew about Orthaheel!) PF first hit me about 10 years ago and then I started slacking with wearing inappropriate shoes. It came back with vengeance. I never go barefoot. I wear an arch support in tennis shoes and dress shoes if I can. And like already mentioned, Brooks, is my go to sneaker. Good luck fellow PF ladies.

I've been wearing the New Balance 860's and they also have casual and sandels under thier Aravon and Cobb Hill brands. I've so far had zero problems with any of them and they come in wides.

I have new balance 960's and can't wear them for very long at all. They hurt my heal even though they are what my surgeon recommends for his patients post op.

The New balance shoes that my door doctor recommended and I paid $100 for never gave me half the relief my $35 Teva Hurricanes do. I don't wear Flip flops but I have definitely found that there are better shoes than NB when it comes to walking. My $50 Asic gel running shoes are better on my feet than the NB shoes were.

Asics were what I had before the NB and I really liked that brand as well. I just had a lot of trouble finding them in a wide. (I don't like ordering sneakers online as they can run so different). We have an actual NB store in my town so it's easy to buy them there and they carry the wides in store and the 860's fit my feet really well.

If I could find a steady supply of wides I would move back to Asics.

I did go look at the link above and the only things that come up as wides are one pair of sneakers so Orthaheels will probably not make it to my shopping list. Shame though because the Maryjanes were way cute.

Another Orthoheel girl here!

I had plantar faciatis last year after starting to run. I'd seen these on QVC but was skeptical. When I went to a 'real' running store to get fitted for shoes & saw Orthaheels on display, I thought there must be something to it. I started w/ the slippers, slid them 1st thing every day & always wore around the house & w/in a few days, no more PF.

I've gotten rid of every pair of cheap-o flip flops, bought 3 pairs of Orthaheel flip flops & am slowly building a wardrobe. I originally got sticker shock but believe I have absolutely gotten my money's worth.

The slippers are the best! I wear mine everyday around my house. When I go out, I put on my Orthaheel flip flops, or if I'm wearing pants, I'll put on my Sanita clogs. I never knew arch support til I knew Sanita! It is incredible. You can literally feel it when you put them on.

For those with Plantar Fasciitis, I used healthyfeetstore.com to find shoes that would work for me. I think they sell shoes there, but I compare prices and end up ordering from Zappos usually. They have categories for nearly every foot ailment out there, with recommendations. And they do change by season, and when new products are released. I highly recommend that website to find shoes for people with foot problems.

Another PF sufferer here. I dread the thought of having to walk in the parking lot at Wegmans. You've all convinced me to give Orthoheels a try.

I think I'll give healthyfeetstore.com a look see as well.

Thanks!!

They remind me of my croc capri flip flops.

Does anyone have those and these to compare. (of course I just bought 2 new pairs of crocs and don't need more new flips) I would be interested to see if they have similar support. The crocs do not come in wide, and I have wide feet and they do fit but a little extra room might be nice.

I had achilles surgery so i was unable to wear any flips till I found the capris so I'd be open to another brand if they were similar.

I LOVE my Crocs Capris! I've tried others and nothing else is as comfortable. I've thought about trying Orthaheels so I ordered a pair today. I'll let you know how they compare.

Thanks, I'm curious as well, since nothing is as comfy as my Capri's! I recently bought the Olukai Ohana's after recommendations on here and while prettier than my Capri's (which I was looking for a nicer looking one) they aren't as comfy.

I wore my new orthaheels for 8hrs today in the mall with 2 teenage girls. The only time we stopped was for a 20min Panera break. My feet feel great! I am so glad I bought these shoes!

I was just checking them out and saw they have mens sizes, I think I will order the mens flip flop just to be safe. I got a special offer from qvc for a 5 easy pay on any $50 order so that plus free shipping makes me want to get them even more.

I have the basic flip flop and it runs wide enough for me. And I wear wide. Fred flinstone feet here

IMO, Orthaheels is like many other products touted for pain relief: YMMV....

I had worn NB for years and then they changed something and my heel pain came back. So last summer I bought 2 pair of Orthaheels (sneaks and flip flops) because people here were gushing over how awesome their feet felt.
OMG! I didn't think it was possible, but my feet hurt even more after wearing the Orthaheels - to the point where I could hardly walk.

Fortunately, I found a pair of Asics at Famous Footwear (for about 1/2 the price) and haven't had any problems since.

I bought a pair of orthoheals flip flops. I was told they have a 30 day money back guarantee, so I am trying them out.

I have found that aerosoles are a good brand for me (I have plantar fascitis). They often have sales and I can pick up shoes for $29 and $39. Lots of cute styles.

I had been very good for a few years, only wearing certain shoes and my feet felt so much better, I went back to cheap shoes. Big mistake. I went and blew my budget at aerosoles and am tossing my cheap shoes.

I have croc flip flops (not sure what version) and I have orthoheels - while I love both, I found the orthoheels to have more support. two summers ago I had surgery on both pinky toes at once and needless to say could not even stand to have any shoe covering my toe for at least 2 months. I lived in these. This year I bought a pair of orthoheel slides and love them.

Very disappointed to find that only the unisex sandals and sneakers come in a wide.

I'm very intrigued. There's a store close to my house that carries them, I think I'll stop and try some on. I leave in 9 days so I don't think I have time to order any and break them in before WDW. I think I'm going shopping tonight.

ETA: So glad I went to try some on instead of just buying some online. They are definetly not for me. I have very flat feet and the arch was way too much for me. They were super cute tho. I'm disappointed they didn't work out. Ah well.

I'm back to report my Orthaheel experience...

I have flat feet and they were very uncomfortable. I tried wearing them around the house for about a week or more, off and on, but my feet never adjusted to the arch support, so I sent them back.

They are nothing like Crocs, which are soft but supportive. They are very hard and felt like I was wearing a block of wood on my feet! LOL

I guess I'll just hope that Crocs never stops making the Capris!

Glad I am not the only one! I tried a pair (they recommended breaking them in a little each day). I sent them back after wearing in the house for a week. My feet were killing me!

I ended up with Teva Tierra and NB 1540s. Ahhh,,, much better!

I had the exact same experience. I am going to eBay mine because I took too long to return them. But they are not a good fit for me. Anyone want a pair in size 8?! Haha!

I bought my first pair of Teva Tierras one month ago and I LOVE them. I've been vacationing so hiking, walking on the beach and museums (museums are usually the worst for my feet) with minimal pain. Usually I wear sneakers with arch support inserts for lot of walking but the Tevas are just as good and much cooler and waterproof. I have plantar fasciitis, a very high arch, heel spurs and some arthritis in my feet. Until now, the best shoes for me have been Naots and Clark's clogs, but those are only good for day to day wear, not for days with heavy walking.

Dansko and Birkenstocks hurt my feet.

I'm already planning to buy another pair of Tevas.
