As some of you know I have been trying to get my parents to go to Disney for years and finally....finally by appealing to my Dad's love of Christmas...I have convinced them!! I am so excited!!!
My Dad says the one thing he can't wait to see...above all else...is the Osbourne Lights. He is soooooooooooooooo excited about it. He Love christmas lights and we have been playing it up full tilt ...every year that we go I walk through I think"God I wish Dad could see this"
Now I hear a rumer that they have cancelled the Osbourne Lights this year!!!!! OMG!!! Is this true? Why on Earth would they do that ??? It is so popular! I cannot believe it!
I don't want to tell my parents(or my kids for that matter)

I am sooooooooooo upset:( :( :( :( :( :(

I just had to vent!

Yes I believe it is true, they are working on a new Stunt show. I heard they will tear down Residental street:eek: . But it will be back christmas 2004.

So Sorry.

Kae

I'm upset too... it's our first (and probably last) holiday trip :o

There is so much else Christmasy to see. The decorations at the resorts (and the parks) are wonderful. There's the Candlelight Processional and MVMCP. Go and have a good time...Your father will be so full of the Christmas Spirit, he may just decide to o back in 2004 again to see the Osbourn Lights!

There are so many things to see and do during the Christmas season you won't be disappointed. I am sure that Disney is working on displaying part of the lights somewhere on property also.

Christmas is magical at WDW even without the Osborne lights. You will have a wonderful time.

That was my main reason for going this holiday season, too.

We really enjoyed the lights as well and it was one of the reasons we spent my mother's 60th birthday there last December. We had a great time and loved the lights, but honestly it was about 2 hours of our entire trip. She really loved the Candlelight Processional, The Grand Floridian Lobby, Downtown Disney atmosphere, and the special fireworks during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.

Don't let it get you down - there really is plenty of holiday activities and spirit there!

I love Christmas at Disney and I know that this is a small portion of that ....but ya gotta admit there is nothing like it!
I just don't see how they can not find somewhere else to do it since it is soooooo popular. They are crazy! Even a reduced version of it.
Anyway, we will still have a magical time...

I believe there is a Yuletide Fanatasy tour that gives you the behind the scenes of christmas at wdw. maybe he would enjoy that.

I know it's disapointing to not be able to see those Osbourne Lights, but there are so amny other neat places to take your dad when your there.Be sure you make a dinner arrangement at WL- when yuo walk inot that lobby at Christmas- it'll take your breath away!

We also are going at Christmas this year and were very disappointed not to be able to see the Osbourne lights...but while it is my favorite...there are lots of close seconds in the decoration department at disney during christmas....I'm still count down each day with great anticipation...:D :D
