I am so worried

I am getting these new glasses around the first week of October and they are not your typical glasses they look like sun glasses almost one job is encouraging me to get them and one might not let me return, due to the fact that they might make me look supposes, but from my understanding I will be able to read better and concentrate better and it will improve my death perception, DH does not want me to return to the job that may or may not approve of the new glasses. He was so excited when he say what a difference they made when I was getting tested for them.

I'm glad they help.

I wouldn't worry about them making you look suspicious. There are a lot of people with vision problems who have to wear tinted or dark glasses.
Maybe you can get a note from your eye doctor stating that the glasses are necessary for your vision so the job doesn't give you a hard time.

The only places you will have an issue is when your identity needs to be established such as at DMV if you have to have a new license picture taken, for a passport picture or at the airport/cruise terminal going thru security. Basically if you're in a place where your identity has to be established you'll be asked to remove your glasses but can then put them back on. You won't be prevented otherwise.

They are colored lens that help the brain and it comes in different colors I will try to get the web site for you and it can explain how the color works

I have a cousin who always wears prescription sunglasses due to an eye condition. I'm sure people who don't know him may ask or wonder about it. If anyone asks I would just tell them they are prescription and you need them to help you see.

Is this the same job you were thinking of leaving before? I remember you had a post not long ago about leaving one of your jobs. If they give you that much of a hard time I would leave unless you desperately need the money.

Yes it is the same job that I want to leave but I can't the government does not pay me to sit on my but during the holidays or spring break, however I have a positive summer job.

Even in Right to Work states you can't fire someone for reasons related to disability, race, age, or gender. You can fire someone who is disabled, African American, etc . . . but you need to be able to give a reason that doesn't violate the law.

Do you mind me asking what problems your son has and if the lenses have helped? I have never heard of these. My son is dyslexic and has a visual processing disorder. I use to use colored overlays on the page when he read and it did help. As a teen, I'm sure he would be totally opposed to the look but maybe he could use them at home when doing homework.

Your answer will be "Because my doctor says I need them." Period. You do not need to go into the details of your healthcare. That is a private matter between you and your doctor. Your family can pester you all they want, but if you use the "broken record method" eventually they will lay off. To to the broken record method you just keep repeating what you've said. "Because my doctor says I need them" or "My doctor prescribed them." That's it. That's all. Don't give in to their pressure. The minute you offer details it will be Game On, so be ready for it. Keep saying the same phrase. Sooner or later they will get tired of that response and move on to something else.

The banks here make you remove hats and sunglasses while in the bank, don't know if that would be an issue for you. Its not really for me, because I use the drive through. Hope your new glasses make it better for you.
