I just printed the pics from our May trip(442). All of the pics have a yellow tint to them and they all look underexposed. I just got home and went through my photos on my laptop and they look fine. I even checked my Iphone and they look great on there too. Could it be the upload to cvs online or has anyone ever seen the printer cause bad photos. I am so upset.....Can you guys tell my if the colors and Exposures look OK, they look fine to me on my PC. I use lightroom 3.

Your photos look fine on my laptop screen. It sounds to me like the CVS printer was having problems or was running out of toner. Something similar happened to us as Costco once. I'd ask for reprints.

I am glad to hear its not my laptop. I am soooo stressing out about this.

If they end up giving you a full refund, how about getting them printed at mpix.com. They do wonderful work there. You can even get $0.19 prints if you don't need their techs to do color management on your photos.

I think I will give mpix a try, I hear great things about them.

I was just wondering Srisons do you have their techs do any color management? I do all of my ordering from them and have never had that done and was thinking that maybe I'm missing something?

I had the same thing happen to me at Walgreen's! I always check my photos before paying and I refused to do so! Mine had a green tint to them. The clerk kept insisting "I ordered them, I pay for them", I turned and left the store. They called a couple of times to "remind me to pick up my photos" which I "just forgot" to do! The next time I ordered photos I used my husbands name and had no problem. I'd ask to see the manager for your refund. You received a product that was damaged and they should honor your request. Good luck. :tink:

I dont print anywhere that does not allow me to turn off all AUTO CORRECTIONS.

Costco is great, and they will reprint photos that you are not satisfied with.

Your photos look fine to me .. only the baby photo need more pop colors ,... but are all ok :)

I ordered them online so orders of $49 had to be payed for prior to pickup. I am going today to bring them back. I also edited the photo of my daughter that was straight from the camera.

Most of the discount stores and drug stores have pretty awful printing. Most of the employees do not know how to correct the machines when they get off.

I rarely get images printed at CVS or Walgreens. When I have done it its been hit or miss. I had an argument with one of the photo clerks who I know pretty well. The picture I had printed came out awful. WAY underexposed. I told him so and he said that he didn't do anything, just printed it out as it came to them. I've read a few articles and many times it can be bad paper. I had the same photo printed through smugmug and then brought it in to show him the comparison.

Same thing at Walgreens. Luckily the one I had done at Walgreens was a free 8x10. It came out awful. Contrast was terrible. Colors look real bad. I didn't bother saying anything to them since it was free.

I only use those places when I need to have a print made that day and don't want to use my own home printer. Otherwise I just order from my Smugmug site.

I've never used the color management option; and have never had a problem with anything. Plus, just in case I give something a very specific look, I don't want someone else thinking it's actually "off".
