I told myself it was a bad idea to buy that large variety bag of Halloween candy at Costco a month ago. First it was the Butterfingers to go. Then the Twix, Milky Ways, Baby Ruths. I think my dh ate most of the Snickers. Now the only thing left are the 3 Muskateer bars, and not nearly enough to hand out to the neighborhood kids. I need to go shopping tomorrow.

We are on our 3rd box of candy bars from Costco!:lmao: I tried to hide the last box in the fridge in the garage, but Dh and the boys found them. After purchasing $40 in candy, I am now down to handing out Handi-Snacks and Microwave popcorn bags!:lmao:

Im sure I will have to clean chocolate pudding off my front door on Saturday morning.:scared1: :scared1:

I'm glad we're not the only ones!!! We bought three bags - we have a LOT of kids in the neighborhood, and I take candy to my students since I'm giving a test on Halloween! I thought we would for sure have enough, but as I got my bag ready for tomorrow, I found that we were running low. Who ate it all?:confused3 I mean, I only ate one piece of candy - EVERY TIME I walked by the bowl. :lmao:

Thankfully, our neighborhood is kind of remote and the kids in the neighborhood are pretty much grown up. We haven't offered candy for the last two years. The two years before we stuck around the door waiting, but not many kids came. So.... we're not doing it anymore.

I was kind of examining your attrition of goods. I think we would have first consumed the Snickers, then the Baby-Ruths, then the Twix, then the Butterfingers, then the milky ways, and like you Three Muskateers would be last.

Live and learn... and go to the gym now. :rotfl:

Here we celebrate Beggars Night, which by decree of the municipality, Centerville/Washington township was tonight 6-8. I brought bags of Freetos in for my students today, and at night we had about 35-40 beggars. We were pretty good about not eating the chips before hand, but the fun bag of tootsie products had to be replenished, I also bought some gummy life savors assortment and yesterday, I got some Laffy Taffy. This is something I never ever would have even tried except for MNSSHP, I love the stuff. :goodvibes

I hope all of you have fun, those who celebrate tomorrow. We're going to New Orleans, to visit DS, DGF!

Bobbi:goodvibes

You should have done what I did. I bought the large bag of assorted hard candies from Costco and left it in the trunk of the car. I'm bringing it inside today.

I waited until Thursday to buy our Halloween candy because I am afflicted with "goldfish syndrome"; when it comes to sweets, I eat and eat and eat until I go belly up.:fish: :fish: :fish:
Happy Halloween Everyone!!!:goodvibes

I'm pathetic too! Went to get all the candy together last night. All l have left is lollipops that we give to the smaller children. I'll be stopping on the way home and buying 4 more bags.

That's why I never, ever by chocolate for their Halloween candy. It's bad enough that I steal the chocolate candy out of the girls Halloween stash little by little every day once they go to bed or are in school. Yes I am ashamed but I can't help it. When it comes to chocolate, I have very few morals.

Okay, you can count me as pathetic too!! I can't help that I hear the chocolate bars forever calling me. Oh no, their coming to take me away HAHA!

Ah, another chocaholic, welcome!

You are just protecting their teeth and growing bodies from all that fat and sugar, right? At least that's how I look at it :)

So of course your shopping list for next year is a few bags of 3 Musketeers right? ;) Actually - that's my strategy after years of eating all the stuff I buy. Last year I bought blow pops - won't touch them myself and they went over well with the kids since most people give out chocolate.

If it is chocolate pudding, it is better to lick it off. :rotfl:

I am soooooooo bad, I bought 3 bags of candy at BJ's about 5 weeks ago. I purposely hid it from myself down in the laundry room....

You're right - for the past 5 weeks my husband has been wondering why i've been doing so much laundry :lmao: :lmao:

Note to self: stop for candy on the way home from work today :sad2:

I usually try to buy the stuff I don't like, but this year I splurged and went hersheys/resees/and yum... kit kats... I figure they're a step above potato chips.;)

I just opened the bag of candy for the trick-or-treaters and .. uh... ok, I should say re-opened and let's just say that the bowl didn't leave my hands untouched. I did hide the wrappers in the trash though LOL.

My hiding spot from my self: double tied in the cat food bin... :rotfl:

Somehow this is the first year EVER that our halloween candy made it unopened to Halloween  Sadly while I've been not eating the halloween candy, I've been eating everything else, so no pounds spared, just don't have to make the emergency candy run. :rotfl:
