This is my 3rd week of Atkins. The 1st two weeks I lost 7.5 lbs. Not great but pretty good. I decided to stick with induction as long as I could. I'm not really having a problem sticking to the food choices and keeping my carb counts low. Last week was a little trying as it was "that time of the month" and I had an Atkins bar to fight off the chocolate cravings, but that was it. This week I am up 1.5 lbs.
I started walking 3 days ago. I thought that would help burn the pounds off. That is the only thing different from the 1st two weeks.
As a matter of fact I have been cutting back on the allowed carbs. Am I hurting myself by doing this? Do I need to have at least 20 carbs to lose weight?
My Dh suggested that I was maybe building muscle and still losing weight. I didn't think muscle would make a difference that fast.
I didn't measure myself before starting. I thought the numbers would totally discourage me as I have so much weight /inches to lose. I haven't noticed ANY difference in the way my clothed feel.
I haven't bought the ketosis sticks. I plan on picking them up this week-end.
I guess I should also add that I have a Throid problem. But I have been on synthroid medication for it for about 15 years and just had my dosage checked. Since I am on the medicine shouldn't my throid be at an average level or does it still make it hard for me to lose weight?
I AM JUST PLAN CRABBY!!!!!!

) The 1.5 pounds showing up on your scale is not a true gain if you have been following your eating plan.
Measure yourself, don't weigh every day and smile. You are a WISHer now and you have lots of friends here who plan to help you reach goal. Life is good
