When do you find out everything?

I know I have a cruise booked for May 5, but how does everyone know about formal nights, how many they are, what nights they are, what you can wear, etc?

How does everyone know schedules for the different shows?

How do you know where you can eat? I thought I could do a character breakfast every morning if I wanted to, but I read somewhere else that that's not true.

Please help. I feel so unprepared!

Check the recent Navigators for the Cruise you are on, ie Western or Eastern, which will give you an idea. The theme nights do not vary, but they are held diiferent nights depending on your itinerary.

When you get your KTTW (Key To The World) it will have a code on it which is your Dining room schedule for Dinner. Breakfast and Lunch you can dine wherever is open, and the Character Breakfast is assigned, but a I can't remember how to figure it out right now.

Please help. I feel so unprepared!
That is what we are all here for, to help when we can and to ask for it when needed.
Don't forget the most important rule:HAVE FUN

Just keep reading this board! :thumbsup2 We are sailing on the Wonder on Sunday  and I am so much better prepared than anyone else in our family since I have been learning here. I also bought the Passporter book - it has been great to read about everything. But pretty much everything you need to know is right here, and there are lots of curise veterans that can answer any question you can think of!

Have a great time when you go!

Hey, we did 5 DCL cruises before I even heard of the Disboards or read a book about it!:confused3 Even on the first cruise, they pretty much walk you through everything, get off the bus, go to the desk to sign in, etc. You then get your navigators in the room each night for the next morning. I like surprises, so I didn't even look at the Navigators before we cruised this Aug., but others like to plan ahead. There is also lots of info when you get your cruise docs a few weeks before you go. Never fear....you won't be wandering aimlessly!!:goodvibes

IIRC, your character breakfast will be on whatever morning you are scheduled for Parrot Cay that night.

So, for APL, CB is morning 2 (you will be PC for dinner on night 2)
LAP, CB is morning 3
PLA, CB is morning 4 since you weren't on the ship for breakfast the first time you were scheduled for PC for dinner.

Woo Hoo....May 5th! (2007?) That would be us! Come and join us and we will answer whatever you want to know! You can join in on the last page if you want to without reading the whole thread. The first page tells you who all is going on this cruise on this board so far.

It's a Western Cruise if it's this coming May and Monday is formal night, Thursday is Semi-formal, Wednesday is Pirates night. Your dining tickets you get in your room on the first day and it will also tell you when your Character breakfast is.

Cruises can be something you sort of "show up for" and follow along. Disney will send you information a few months before your cruise about possible excursions and theme nights and what to pack - or you can use the DCL site. Otherwise, you can hang here or buy a Cruise Passporter (highly recommended).

MOMMYMOUSEOF2 We are sailing on 5/5 as well and I am just as nervous. I too feel so unprepared. I think its because it is our (Me and DH) first cruise ever and I have no idea what to expect!! I feel your pain!!! But I am sure we will get through it and have a wonderful time!! Maybe we will see you onboard!!
