Just needed to vent. I have been doing milesource for 3 months, and for the most part it has been quite easy and convenient. However, I have a problem that I have been trying to straighten out for almost 2 months, to no avail! Please, tell me it doesn't take a genius to figure this out:
On 6/28, I made a purchase from DiscoveryStore.com (through Milesource). I was supposed to recieve 500 AMs for the purchase (this was advertised in the MileMall). Well, on 6/29 they credited 500 AMs to my account. Great, right? Listen to this. On 7/02, I got an email from Milesource congratulating me for being a runner-up in their Shopping Spree Sweepstakes. It stated that my 500 AMs should be in my account now. When I checked my account, I saw that 500 AMs HAD been credited on 7/02, but then subtracted! So I got 500 AMs on 6/29 (supposedly for DiscoveryStore purchase), but no AMS on 7/02 (500 added, 500 subtracted). I emailed them immediately and explained the problem. I assumed that when they added the 500 on 7/02, they saw that 500 had been added on 6/29, and thought that I had been credited twice. Well, after about 30 DAYS I recieved a response from MIlesource, stating that my account had been credited twice for "an on-line promotion", and that was why the 500 was deducted. They did not say which "on-line promotion" I was credited for, and ignored the fact that I should have been credited a total of 1000 points over that 5 day period, not 500. I emailed them again, sending them a copy of my letter about the sweepstakes and explaining the whole mess again. This was 3 weeks ago, and so far, no response. about 1 1/2 weeks ago, I called the Customer Service # in NYC, and left a detailed message on the woman's voice mail explaining everything yet again. You guessed it, no response! I am now steaming, because I need those 500 points to cash out for gift cetificates for our trip 10/8. I can't wait much longer, but I will not be able to get what I want without the 500 points.
