In Florida, got permit at 15. Drive with parent or guardian and practice. At 16, go and take a driving test if you have had your permit for 1 year. When you get your license, I have had mine since august 2009, you can drive with anyone.16 Year olds cannot drive from 11pm to 6am unless accompanied by a 21 year old licensed driver or driving to and from work

17 Year olds cannot drive from 1am to 5am unless accompanied by a 21 year old licensed driver or driving to and from work

During the driving test, they just have you drive around a neighborhood, 3 point turn, back up 50 or whatever feet, and park.
I got points off for parking too far left I was in between the cones and didn't hit them, who cares.

My friend did everything perfect but she automatically failed because she didn't stop long enough at a stop sign.

Mine was easy...i practiced parallel parking the day before and that morning and i was pretty confident...I drove exactly 25 mph the whole time. Pretty simple

In Iowa, you can get your permit at 14 by taking a written test. Then you have to take drivers ed. which is like 20 hours in the classroom and 6 hours behind the wheel with an instructor. You have to take a test with the drivers ed. instructor, but my teacher was super laid back. We didn't even have to do parallel parking. When you pass drivers ed, you can get your license at 16. All you have to do is show you passed drivers ed. and that you have a valid permit. No driving test. Overall pretty simple.
