Add Under Armour to your list- pricey but way more effective than any old shirt.

Yup, Under Armor is great for late fall and early spring games....DD is slight and gets cold easily so it is a lifesaver for her!

She is finishing her third season and has always used a Size 4 ball so I think it is specific to the league (she is 7yo now).

Make sure you have a *big* umbrella...DH and I were easy to spot as rookie parents the first year. During a rainy game we were both huddled under one little compact umbrella! Now we have a nice big "golfing" umbrella large enough to cover us both.

And be careful, Soccer has now sucked in so much that I am an asst. coach! It has a way of taking over your life!

Prepare yourself for fun!!! And, if he likes it, most likely a year round commitment!

Being a soccer mom is great. DH coaches our DD's town team, and she plays MAPLE as well. It's time consuming, but the passion she has for it is unbelievable. We just spent Memorial Day weekend at the Cape for a tournament. We had a great time, and it's true....the team becomes a giant extended family.
