owners of white cars what do you guys do about all the bugs that end up on your white exterior??? They seem SO visable!

I don't remember a huge bug noticeability problem when we had a white vehicle (a white Ford Bronco - right at the time O.J. was running around in his, if you can believe it ). I was just commenting to DH that when we go to buy something new we're going to buy white. I love the clean look of white in a car and loved how it didn't show dirt like our dark cars do now.

DH would love your Impala - he loves those cars.

I haven't had a white car since my little VW bug out in Colorado 20 years ago!! I just never noticed the smooshed bugs back then on the front of the car!

My husband is looking at them for our second car. I drive a Suburban and he recently wrecked his Volkswagon Jetta. Basically he will drive this car to and from work so gas mileage is important to him. What were some of the selling points for you? He thinks it has more room than the Camry. He is tall so headroom is also an important factor. Thanks.

I have never owned a white car so I can't answer your bug question but just wanted to wish you well with your new Chevy Impala. I own a black 2001 Impala-LS and I just love it.

And just a FYI to above poster, I am 6 foot and DH is 6'2" and we have sufficient head room.

Cathy it's funny you mentioned being concerned about the head room! When we were first looking at this white Impala on Monday I expressed my same concern....not because of my DH but because of our sons!! They are 6'6, 6'4 and 6'2!

The Dealer let me take the car home for the night so we could see if the boys would "fit" in the car!

Actually we're not too concerned with our 6'6 DS as he's 24 and in his own car but the other two boys fit no problem! Phew!

........and yes, so far I really like the car! After driving 10 years in a van (and I loved my van) I have adapted nicely to this Impala. It's such a smooth ride!

Hey Kitty! I just bought a new Grand Prix 2 weeks ago.....white also. Being we have a bug problem in Florida, I've decided to always keep a good coat of wax on the car, hoping this will make rinsing bugs off between "real washings" much easier. SNOW, my new car, has already been to Disney twice and she LOVES IT!!!!
