I will get an AP now and that's just the best part of moving here. My question is are there ever deluxe hotel discounts with having an AP?

There used to be great AP discounts most of the year with a few black out times and these included all levels value through deluxe. But in the past year AP discounts have been fazed out it seems. But don't lose hope because Florida resident discounts were always as good as the AP ones and these are still going on! Check out http://www.mousesavers.com/disneyresorts.html#states

Welcome to FL (I too have am a transplant, here 14 years & like it) The AP & FL resident rates use to be the same discount but since Disney has started up the BRP, the FL rates are slightly higher. You can book the FL rates over the phone & still have the 5 day refund policy. Yes, they do discount the deluxe resorts. All discounts aren't as good as they use to be for anyone anymore. Just inflation I guess. Again, welcome to our sunny state just don't forget your umbrella from June (mid June) thru October
