He did not tell me anything I did not know already and it is very hard to tell what is actual advice and what is a lead into what I am about to read! How do I get my money back, because I am definately not satisfied!

Did you contact them directly? I don't think posting here will help you get your money back.

I was wondering when a thread like this would come up again, it's kinda akward now since he posts here and sponsors it. I haven't used TGM before, but I've read about this in other posts. Do a search and you'll find out about how to get your money back. Hope that helps some. :worried:

I'm sorry you were disappointed. I don't know anything about a "money back guarantee" or anything, because I have been satisfied enough to sign up for a second time! Sure, I knew most of the general stuff about touring, etc before I ever purchased TGM, (I've been to WDW many times) but the up to the moment info on park events, hours, crowd levels, etc is really nice to have.

I suggest you look over at the TGM site for any info on a possible refund, or email Mike directly and ask. He answers his messages quite quickly.

Well, it's quite easy to find out how on his site. So if you are actually interested in getting your money back, email him. I'm not sure that's the actual intent of the post though.

I love TGM... :) Great up to date information! He's in the parks almost daily so he knows what he is talking about! I am sure if you send him an email he will gladly refund your money. If you need any help navigating his site ask over at the forums on his website. There are plenty of willing people there to help you out. Good luck :)

I've used TGM for trips and was very pleased....although it states VERY clearly on his site that he offers a money back guarantee if you are not satisfied. I have also heard TGM is very good about keeping this promise...although I've never had a need to find out.

Everyone likes/expects/prefers different things in their Disney guides, I have favorites, ones I wasn't impressed with and a couple that were downright disappointing. One book, after reading a few chapters, was just not my style.
Instead of posting a rant about it here though, I just returned it to the bookstore the next day......

Did you even try contacting TGM before posting here? (me thinks not) :scratchin

I'm sorry you didn't like TGM. I consider myself a WDW Mavin, but I never fail to learn something from TGM. While your opinion of TGM is welcome here, I think it's wrong to ask us how to cancel. You should have taken it up with Mike personally.

SSSSHHHHHHH!!!!! He's up THERE, WATCHing you!

Really, though, e-mail him, tell him your concerns, and be prepared to be blasted by him. He hates criticism (I learned this firsthand). But, he will definitely credit your credit card.

Greetings, everyone!

This guest sent me an email and has received her refund as promised in our satisfaction guarantee.

I'm aware that not everyone is going to approve of my service or web site, and I'm truly fine with that. Really. Thousands of guests have shared how much they appreciate what I provide, and I choose to concentrate my time and energy on them. Regardless, these ARE public discussion forums, and please know that just because I'm a new sponsor doesn't mean that anyone here should shy away from voicing negative opinions about 'me' or the AVP. Here's the genuine open invitation ... :thumbsup2

Nothing written is going to affect my relationship with Pete Werner, nor my admiration and respect for these Forums and its community. I honestly try and stay away from negative posts about me -- would you like to read such things about you or what you do? -- but ... I certainly do try to stay up with posted concerns and criticisms so I can continue to improve the AVP's design and content.

I simply put 'everything' out there, hope it's helpful to my guests, do my best to please them, and try to learn from my mistakes.
:cool1:

Hope everyone has a nice day,

TourGuideMiKE

You cannot make 100% of the people happy all of the time. You just have to read the restaurant board for proof of that. How many time have you seen someone say that your favorite restaurant was the worst dining experience of their lives and the waiter did everything but slap them?

I really like your site although I paid for your service I never got to use it as we had to cancel our trip and have yet to reschedule and my membership ran out....It was full of info and I loved reading it it was nice to have the personal touch a guide book doesnt give you....keep up the good work and glad you are a part of these boards

I see any sort of travel "help" a gamble. Whether it is a new book, or a service. It isn't as though TGM, or the tour books have a clue as to what an individual knows already. To complain publicly is pretty childish, IMO.

Vacation Dad

I dont think that may have been a very nice post. I for one dont think that everyone is going to love tourguide mike. I love it, but how can something be a perfect fit for EVERYONE. And as far as that goes, what harm is there in trying tourguide mike if he stands behind his money back offer, no matter when someone requests it.

Maybe the op had an agenda by posting this thread. But, maybe they just did not like the service and wanted to get a refund. This was maybe not the best way to do it, but it seemed to get immediate attention!

The two issues do not relate, IMHO. And to attack someone because they do not approve of tourguide mike... well, I just dont like to think where that is going!

My thoughts exactly.

psufamilyluvsdis,
Honestly, your post was very tactless. Why is TGM responsible for keeping track of what you already know? There is a large wealth of info on his site, so if you already know everything why did you even buy it?

I've used TGM for my last 3 trips and have always been very satisfied. I have never found the set up confusing and even though I have been to WDW many, many times I alwyas learn something new.

TGM is great but not for everyone---while he gives sample tours--the idea is that you take the info and absorb it and use it so that YOU become the expert---YOU are the VIP tourguide with the info on how to make your vacation perfect for you....no spoonfeeding---anyone who subscribes but can't figure out how to get his or her money back probably had a hard time synthesizing the information that TGM provides to make for a better vacation.

Just chiming in here... I bought TGM for our trip this time...I feel that I have learned some grat information to use on our April trip...and if nothing else his tips on the Buzz Lightyear ride are great...because I am NOT going to share them with my 13 year old DS and I am going to kick his butt at that game finally!!!!!!lol

Seriously - in the big picture when you are spending around $5000 for the trip what is the $18 (used mousesavers code) really - just a drop in the bucket....

I think you may not be giving him a chance. It took me a while, and I still am trying to figure some things out. But, I think you will find alot of helpful info, once you learn to navigate.
