I Am NOT a Bad, Bad Baby -- TR final updates 9/12

I love TSM. We've never gotten FP for it if you can believe that! The line has always moved fast for us. And I do enjoy that cue.

How have you managed that? That is awesome!

Love the Muppets! Can't wait to see that one again. Cute hat pic!

I like the Muppets too (although it could use a little update.

We haven't ridden the new Star Wars ride yet. I'm looking forward to that one in September!

I like how they rehabbed it, but will have to watch carefully when I ride it again.

Hope you have fun in Vegas.

Thank you...we can't wait.

Two fun rides! I am hoping to ride TSMM a few times in September so I can get a better score - I am pitiful! :rotfl:

Katie, you and I would make perfect partners; I'm terrible too!

Toy Story Mania, Muppetvision and Star Tours! Love 'em all! I didn't remember that Star Tours makes you feel yucky.

Lisa, it just started the last two years. :(

The picture of Cayley with the hat on sideways made me laugh outloud. You can always count on those two girls for a laugh.

We were trying to show that it was Chip on one side and Dale on the other.

Oh my goodness I am so loving your trip report!

:welcome:; thank you for joining. :)

The girls are just adorable and such troupers! I can't wait to read more, you are so helping me get through the Loooooooooong days until our trip in 22 days!

22 days will be here in no time (I have 53 days left).

Thank-you so much for sharing your fun with us!pixiedust:

My pleasure. :)

That name of that little shop "Yous Guys Moichendise" cracks me up!

I know...it had me :rotfl: I don't think I've ever paid attention to it before.

More fun updates-look at me keeping up!!!

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: Mary's up to date. Two sleeps for me, three for you until fun times in Vegas. :goodvibes

looks like alot of fun and how cute is the muppet shop, love it

We had a fun afternoon at the Studios.

Dublin, Killarney and Moher they're going all over the place :thumbsup2

Emma, they are loving it. Everyone they have met has been extremely helpful. They went to the races in Galway today where it was $25 a person. Some nice gentleman came up to them and told them to buy just one ticket and he gave them the other one for free. They are staying Galway tonight and tomorrow night, Boyne Valley--County Meath tomorrow and they fly home on Friday.

I love and want Avery's bag!

Isn't that adorable? She got it at the big Disney store at DTD.

Wow those clouds on the 6/2 look ominous.

They were not pleasant, Ann.

Love the pics in front of the hat!

Thanks!

What luck to get an impromptu dismeet!

It really was fun meeting Sara and family; the kids were a little shy, but they probably didn't understand this whole DIS meet thing.

I am glad that Andy and Des arrived safely in Ireland. Love the first pic! I can understand why you would feel anxious at not having received it right away.

If it hadn't been for all the plane crashes lately, it probably wouldn't have phased me as much. But it was good to know they were there.

It is so fun when someone from your group is the rebel spy on ST. :thumbsup2

Yes it is.

Great updates as usual, Kathy. Missing Disney the more I read TRs and PTRs but it keeps my mind off of things at least for a bit. Those girls are so adorable and I can see why you've fallen in love with them. :) A great Hollywood Studios day for sure.

Thank you, Tracy. I'm glad it is helping you keep your mind off your loss. Yes, they are and I truly do love them. It was a fun Studios day.

The pictures from Ireland remind me of the cliffs in our province of Newfoundland. Absolutely beautiful. I hope they are having the time of their lives. I imagine you are quite excited for your fast approaching trip this weekend. If I don't get online before you leave, I wish you a fabulous and relaxing trip to Vegas.

They really are; their emails are full of excitement. Yes, I can't wait. Two more days of work and then off until Tuesday. We have lots of fun dinners planned.

You all hit up some of my all time favs! Thank goodness for fp+,makes life at wdw much easier.

It does and it doesn't; I'm still not totally comfortable with planning every step of my vacation. We will see how it works out with the September trip. But we did all the rides we wanted to using them.

That's a great line up of rides, TSM, Muppets and Star Tours! Love the hats outside of Muppets, and the pics of the girls before Star Tours. I usually get nauseated on that ride too. Yay for rebel spies! :thumbsup2

Wendy, it was! I was disappointed their was no PP photographer outside of Star Tours...there usually is. Yes, I don't know what it is, but it has upset my stomach several times lately. This is the second time in three girls trips that one of us was a Rebel Spy.

Cliffs of Moher look really incredible.

Andy said it was the highlight thus far.

HS is one of my favorites!! all the rides are awesome. I agree on the Muppets. I do like Philharmonic is better. But i am a muppet fan!!! Just love those guys!!! Did you see a lot of street performers? i hear they are slowly getting rid of them?!? i hope not.

See, it is my least favorite park of all of them. After I do TOT and TSM and go to Animation Class, I'm done with the park. I do love the Muppets though. Actually, we did see lots of street performers while we were there. I know they got rid of some of them at Epcot.

Congrats on the Rebel Spy! :cool1: Yes the girls are ADORABLE! They cant' take a bad picture! Even if they are being a Bad Baby! :rotfl2:

No, they can't take a bad picture...bad baby or not. :rotfl2:

AHHHHHHHHHHH I cannot wait to be there!!!! :goodvibes

Soon, my friend, soon.

Three great rides! Well, if you count the Muppets show as a ride... Love 'em all. Glad that Star Tours didn't make you sick this time. The girls are just cuties!

Thanks, Darla. I'm glad too because I really didn't want to feel sick before dinner which was coming up soon.

Love the Ireland pics, however is it wrong I'd still rather be at Disney....I am a sad sad case :rotfl2:

Noope, it's not wrong and you are not a sad case; I'd rather be at Disney too.

Great DHS pics!! And of COURSE they are cute :goodvibes Those simulator rides do a number on me sometimes, it is crazy :faint:

Old age, in my case, really is my enemy with the rides sometimes.

Love your HS day. Glad the kids are enjoying Ireland. Hope you have a safe, fun, lucky trip to Vegas.

Thanks, Sandy. We had fun, and Andy and Des are really enjoying their trip. I'm sure we will have a great time in Vegas.

Whew, all caught up and subscribed...now I just have to start on your September PTR!

:welcome::welcome: Jayne; we are so happy to have you here.

Sounds like a lot has transpired in the last few months for you, hang in there... you'll get through it! I'm so sorry to read about Mark's job loss, it's so frustrating when bad things happen to good people. I hope he finds something else when he's ready.

Thank you; we're beyond being upset or mad; we just want to look forward. He'll look after our September trip.

Also glad to see that your mom is doing well physically, but the mental decline can be so tough. My grandmother will turn 93 next week and she's been relatively healthy for all of her years, however she's starting to decline mentally and it's been very difficult on my mom. We're just cherishing the times she's with us and hoping for more good days. I'm sure you're doing the same.

It is difficult; it's more difficult on my brother because he lives with her and he has many of his own issues. I help when I can, but being I'm at work or enroute 10 hours a day, it is difficult to do more.

It's exciting that Des and Andy are taking the next step, but I know it's hard to finally have a truly empty nest!

Well, we got a good taste of how it will be with him being gone the last seven days (and still not home until Friday).

Can't wait to read more updates from your great trip!

Thank you again for being here.

Looks like a wonderful day at DHS! :goodvibes

Thanks, Julie. It really was and more to come.

I'm going to go and finish up our Studios day as I have a full day tomorrow and Thursday at work (pedicure tomorrow night, finish packing, etc., for Vegas as Mark is picking me up at the office at 4:30 on Thursday to go to Midway).

We had finished Star Tours and taken a few pictures on our walk over here:

We had booked the Fantasmic package so we got an appetizer and dessert with our meal.

I started off with one of these:

(it was a raspberry pina colada of some type...and VERY VERY good)

They brought out our bread while Cayley was a taking a little siesta:

I had the calamari and a ceasar's salad

Mary's chicken (?) parmesan

Avery's spaghetti and meatballs

and Cayley's boring pasta

I believe Avery was the only one who wanted dessert:

And she wouldn't share. Not even a teeny tiny bite with me or anyone else

And because she wouldn't share, that BAD BAD BABY came up again. We laughed a lot at dinner. We had a terrific waitress as well.

We finished up, paid the bill, got our passes for the show and were off.

Mary and the girls wanted to see American Idol; this is something I have never done before. I don't watch it on TV (although I do watch The Voice...but then I love Blake Shelton) and so it wasn't on top of my list. But the girls wanted to do it so off we went. I'm glad I did it once, but it's not something I need to do again (and now it is going away).

The girl I voted for did not win. Actually the one that did I thought was the worse of the group. Obviously, I have no taste. :rotfl:

At this point, it was time to decide what to do. Fantasmic wasn't for another hour and the girls weren't "feeling" it. Even though they've never seen it, they said they'd rather go back to the resort and get ice cream. So that's what we did. We found four people coming in and gave them our passes for Fantasmic and walked to the bus stop to get back to Old Key West.

Once we got there, we hit the Gurgling Suitcase (yes, I drank a lot on this trip :lmao:)

I have no further pictures from this night. I know the girls got ice cream and they played in the arcade on the money I gave them. After they went through the money and had all the candy they would need for a week, we headed back to our room and the kids had baths and we set the alarm and hit the sack for the next day.

Up next, Tuesday, June 3 -- will we stick with the plan and go back to Blizzard Beach?

I hope everyone has a great weekend and I'll talk to you all when I get back next Tuesday.

OMG. These pictures of the girls are all SO good! Cayley is just as cute as a button. Mark must have loved the hat pics!

I think I may have missed an update, so I have to go back and find it.

Fun day so far at HS. Sounds like you guys had a blast!

So you skipped F! I have not seen F! since I took my DN LJ when he was 9. That was a long time ago! :faint:

But, hey - the girls wanted ice cream and you guys had more TK's, so what's not to like???? I will definitely be hitting up OKW for a TK (or two) in October! I just love it there and can't wait to visit again, even though I am not staying there.

Have a great time in Vegas!:banana::banana: Takes lots of pics!

I just love Cayley's Chip hat pictures! She is such a cutie!!! We have an identical photo of Lorelai holding the Rebel Spy shirt later in the trip, she was so happy to be picked. I wish Lorelai and Cayley would have gotten to spend more time together, since they are so close in age. Maybe another time!

I completely understand calling it a night before Fantasmic! Believe me if everyone wasn't feeling it, sitting in a very crowded arena and fighting the crowd out wouldn't have been advisable. I think your plans of a nice cocktail and ice cream sounds perfect! That showing of Fantasmic was PACKED and it took the energy out of the whole night for us and we love the show.

Just when I got caught up you posted again! :rotfl:

Sounds like you ladies were having a wonderful trip. I can't remember everything I wanted to comment on, or anything really :lmao:, but I intend to stay caught up now!

I do remember that the pics of the girls in their funny hats are adorable. Mr. Mark must have been very very proud. :goodvibes

Just got myself subbed to your PTR too. Hope that you and Mark have a fantastic trip to Vegas-you've both earned it!

Have a fantastic time in Vegas, baby! Hope you hit it big $$$

What a great Hollywood Studios day!

A meet-up, followed by some good-natured competition on TSM (must have been good-natured since you don't remember the scores), Muppets (love that show) and AI (actually, I haven't seen this and can't say I'm heartbroken that it is closing)

Glad you enjoyed the meal at Mama Melrose. We last ate there in 2009, for the Fantasmic Package, and we really enjoyed it. Haven't been back because we are never at HS at dinner time. We had the calamari, too and loved it.

That's funny that the bad, bad baby comments returned. :rotfl:

Too bad you didn't make it to F!, but it is always a smart call to pack it in for the night instead of forcing it when you are not feeling it. How nice of you to pass along your tickets.

Sounds like you all made your own fun.

:goodvibes

I have still not eaten at Mama Melrose! It makes the list every trip, and every trip it gets cut at the last minute. Some day I will, your dinner looks yummy, especially Avery's cupcake!
I used to watch American Idol when it first came on TV. I could never pick the winners there either! :rotfl:
Too bad the girls weren't feeling Fantasmic, but it's good that you didn't force it. I have seen that happen way too often, it's never enjoyable.

Awww a little nap.. How precious is she!!!

F! seen it once i was good but Tom likes it a lot we might have to see it again.. If i can't talk them into going back to the pool. :lmao:

Yes i am a huge fan of HS. just love the theme. and every single ride they have

So glad they have lots of street performers!!! Makes me giddy! Then again i am a fan of the three stooges and I love Lucy! :lmao:

Never had Mama's how was the food.. it looks great.

OH! Not sharing?!?! yes Bad baby!!! :lmao: :rotfl2:

looks like a fun day at DHS! happy you didn't get sick feeling on Star Wars this time, awesome cayley was the rebel spy!

have a great time in Vegas! safe travels!!

sounds like you got a lot done at MGM and clearly the party was spent. We love Fantasmic! so wouldn't want to skip - though who knows what will happen with our upcoming trip. That is great that you were able to pass along some pixie dust and give the passes to others - I am sure it meant a lot to them!

I know Mama Melrose doesn't get the best reviews, but we've always liked it. Twice we've gone without the Fantasmic package and were able to get it by just using our dining plan. You can't beat a free appetizer!

Avery's cupcake makes me laugh. Our last trip, we left two of those in our room's fridge with a note for the mousekeepers to enjoy them.

Safe Travels!

I didn't take pictures of the scores, but if I remember correctly, Avery and Cayley rode together and Mary and I rode together. I don't know who beat who.
That's quite the detailed recap of it! :lmao:

I like this show, but prefer Mickey's Philharmagic
::yes::

This was the first time in the last two or three trips that I didn't get an upset stomach after riding.
That is always a good thing.

They brought out our bread while Cayley was a taking a little siesta
After that night in MK with you, I can certainly understand the need for a nap.

And she wouldn't share. Not even a teeny tiny bite with me or anyone else
I wouldn't either!!! Get your own dessert!!! :lmao:

Mary and the girls wanted to see American Idol; this is something I have never done before. I don't watch it on TV (although I do watch The Voice...but then I love Blake Shelton) and so it wasn't on top of my list.
Ok, we're agreeing on too many things in this update.

I'm glad I did it once, but it's not something I need to do again (and now it is going away).
Thank goodness... :rolleyes1

The girl I voted for did not win. Actually the one that did I thought was the worse of the group. Obviously, I have no taste. :rotfl:
Or maybe the rest of the audience was tone deaf?

At this point, it was time to decide what to do. Fantasmic wasn't for another hour and the girls weren't "feeling" it. Even though they've never seen it, they said they'd rather go back to the resort and get ice cream. So that's what we did. We found four people coming in and gave them our passes for Fantasmic and walked to the bus stop to get back to Old Key West.
That's too bad that they didn't want to see it. But it is always hard to escape the siren call of ice cream. I'm glad you were able to pass your passes on to someone else.

Sounds like a nice evening, even if you did skip Fantasmic. That seems like it was the thing to do, if you just weren't feeling it.

A nap is always good on a Disney trip!

Mama Melrose I will trying for the first time in September also for a Fantasmic! meal. Looking at you meal makes me very excited for this one:goodvibes

That was really nice of you to give your passes away I sure it meant a lot to that family to not have to wait in line.

Look drinking is fine especially in Disney, I mean c'mon isn't it just the best place in the world to drink? (and in my humble opinion just the best place to be and live) :lmao:

Sweet Cayley taking a siesta :goodvibes AWWWW, I've never felt inclined to do Fantasmic. The kids are always so tired OR would rather hit up the rides..I think last time we did TSM. Avery sure loved that cupcake, I am surprised she didn't let anyone nibble :rolleyes1

And I TOTALLY plan on hitting the Gurgling Suitcase A LOT my trip :thumbsup2

Wow, I'm not a huge calamari fan, but yours looked delicious!

And that cupcake! I can't believe you didn't even get a nibble. My girls would have licked all the frosting off and handed me the soggy cupcake.

Sorry you missed Fantasmic, but sounds like calling it a night early was the best decision.

Good luck in Vegas! Hope you win big!

I ate at Mama Melrose for the first time in March, and really liked it! Thought it was very tasty. Avery would not share her dessert?! It looked good!

I hope you and Mark have a wonderful time in Vegas. Safe travels!
