DH just came in and said he wanted to go to the Flea Market in Memphis Saturday! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! This thing is HUGE 3 buildings full of stuff and also the whole entire outside has booths. FUN! FUN! FUN! I love my DH!:)

You and my SIL and my mom would get along well. I feel like I'm being tortured when they make me go to the flea market with them.

Have fun.:)

Sounds great!

It'd be wonderful if it's full of crafts. I bet you could use some new decorations for the new house.

Enjoy! :D

Don't buy too many fleas...;)

Ewww Flea Markets!?!?!? I'm not one for buying other people's junk or used clothing. If it isn't new, I'm not buying.

Everytime I hear about a flea market, I think about the one in Oldsmar, FL we used to go to a lot.

There was a crazy woman that brought her monkey everytime we were there. She had the monkey in baby clothes and pushed it around in a stroller, while the monkey threw things at people

I don't like flea markets because they sell pirated software/video games/DVD's . That drives the prices up for those of us that buy from a legitimate source. I am also against dealing knock off clothing lines....it takes business away from legitimate retailers and the designers.

Flea markets are a great place to get those hard to find specialty items that regular stores won't carry :)

That sounds like fun... I always wanted to go to a flea market but there hasn't been any good ones to go to... Have to go to Pasadena and the Rose Bowl.

I've never been to a flea market, but I love thrift stores. We have some great ones around here, all the rich people wear something once and then give it to the thrift store. I just got the cutest little Calvin Klein grey silk wrap dress at the thrift store - cost me $10.

I also collect vintage clothes and hats, so I usually have a ball at thrift stores. Some rich old lady will die and her family will unload all her stuff on a thrift store - thats when I come in and clean up. I've gotten some amazing pieces this way.

What exactly is a flea market? Like a big yardsale? I don't like yard sales as much as I like thrift stores, because I find you have to look through a whole lot more junk to find a bargain. In a thrift store, they won't take the junk.

I love flea markets. I collect Depression glass, and cameos. I got some gorgeous blue vases at one a few months ago, that look just like Lalique. I bet that they are worth more than I've paid for them. I love to try to buy something for a few dollars that may be worth much more. Oh yeah, they are a real goldmine for old WDW toys, etc. :D

I haven't been to a flea market in years! Have a good time Beth. Hope you find some great bargains!. :Pinkbounc

Well the way I see it.... I cant afford to pay $500.00 for a Prada purse... if I see one on Venice for $20.00 guess which one I am going to buy.

I doubt your $20 knock off purse will last very long. Why dosen't your famous designer friend give you a discount?

You honestly don't think the people selling these knock off Tommy Hilfiger, Dooney & Bourke (etc...) items are driving up prices for the rest of us?

I moved my thread... so I wouldn't hijack this one. And I am sure I could get a discount... however I wont fit into his clothes....yet...which are made for the tiniest women...

In the grand scheme of things, who cares what you or I pay for the real deal or a knock-off!

The designer
The police
The legitimate retailers
