My husband and I have decided to purchase a ~200 point contract at the Boardwalk. We let an agent at the Timeshare Store know and I really thought he would have called by now! (We weren't specific about the UY)

Are there other resale agencies I should contact? If it is not okay to post perhaps you could PM me

I think it has been two weeks ago that we talked to the agent. Am I just impatient?

Hmmm... :scratchin

There doesn't seem to be much BWV inventory out there right now. I only see two BWV contracts, both stripped, and both problematic for ROFR, I suspect.

If you really want BWV you might have to wait. Disney probably has BWV inventory, but the price would be somewhat higher than what would be necessary to clear ROFR via resale.

I'd try all of the big three, although I think TTS is likely to have the majority of the inventory..

I noticed that that thre were like 9 listings for BWV on TTS 2 weeks ago but they have all sold recently. I think most were smaller or larger contracts than what you want anyway.

If you go through Disney it would be 95 a point, but you would be able to have a loaded contract(depending on UY evan this years points), and considering the inventories if you don't request a certain UY you might be able to get the 200pts now.

I would call again, who knows, your call may come in 5 minutes after a 200 point BWV comes up for sale!

Bobbi :)

As spiceycat pointed out, there are a couple of 150-point BWV contracts at TTS that aren't too bad. One is an April UY with all '06 points available (and all '07 points coming). There is a Sep UY with all '06 points coming. Since you want a total of 200 points you could buy one of these 150-point contracts and then add on the final 50 points through Disney.

That's what I ended up doing. I wanted 225-250 points but was anxious to become a member so I grabbed a 175-point contract that looked good and about 8 months later I added on the additional points. But by that time, we had stayed at VWL and liked it a lot so we ended up adding on the extra points there. I'm actually glad now that we didn't find the original BWV contract that we were looking for -- it's working out better for us to have the home resort advantage at two resorts.

I think you have to call them. Don't hold your breath till they call you. That's why I ended up buying somewhere else. I kept e-mailing for information, and all I'd get in reply was a number to call. After a while I stopped getting that. I found another place that was willing to do business by e-mail. (read that not at work or during dinner)

TSS is very good.. my guess is they think you have an "absolute" request. I.e. you want 200 points at BWV or nothing.

call back and tell them your criteria in order of importance.
* location (let them know if you have options)
* approx number of points (+ or -).
* price flexability (also a key factor)
* loaded or stripped contract...

then remember... you can always do an add-on (either Disney direct or re-sale)... depending on avail. you may to have wait, but you can probably get by w/ banking and borrowing for XX months until your Disney direct waitlist deal materializes.

the more flexable you are, the faster it will work out.

good luck.

Good luck on getting BWV points.

Waddya know - TTS called me today with a 200 point contract at BWV! We will be signing them and sending them in!

Can someone teach me the DVC handshake?!?!?!
