I am freaking out SOS

I didn't change the amount of points I bought but they still had to cancel my old contract and give me a new one.

I would say there's a 100% chance the issues you're having are just due to those reservations plus the banking/borrowing.
Yes I agree

My take on CCV vs. BRV after having stayed 7 nights at CCV and spent a good of time at the BRV building checking things out.

WL is a compact resort. No matter whether you're in CCV or BRV, nothing is going to be very far. CCV is closer to Geyser Point and Roaring Fork, but it won't take more than 5 more minutes to get from BRV to either of those. CCV is closer, and that is nice.

If you want quiet at CCV, request a room on Boulder Ridge pool side or near the main lobby. If you're on the Copper Creek Springs pool side of CCV and nearer the end of the wing, you'll be overlooking the pool with waterslide, and things might be a bit louder during pool hours. But, you'll also be like less than a minute from Geyser Point and you'll have a pretty nice view of Bay Lake too. CCV is also closer to boat transportation and basically the same distance to the buses.

One thing I loved about CCV that BRV does not have (in 1 BRs and up) is a double balcony. I believe dedicated 2 BRs at CCV have a triple balcony. That is not present at many DVC resorts, and I really like it.

I've read some people making a big deal out of the fact that CCV rooms were hotel room conversions. Sure, they are slightly smaller than BRV rooms, but I just don't think it is a huge difference at the end of the day. We didn't have any sound issues. Plenty of room and plenty of places to store stuff.

Now, BRV studios and 1 BRs can accommodate 5 people; CCV cannot. If you're trying to squish 5 people into a studio or 1 BR, well, you do you. That's not for me. I'm in a 2 BR at that point, no matter the resort.

And, the BRV building itself is very nice. More places to sit, the train room, the gym - but you can access all of those spaces regardless of where you're staying.

The BRV 1 bedroom, sadly, doesn't have a sleeping surface for a 5th person. The studio does though.

I have a feeling I will like ccv better just because of my preference for the newer rooms. I didnt even know ccv was a hotel conversion and to me the one bedrooms were perfection. It being centrally located is another plus in my book, thats why we will always book jambo despite kidanis extra bathroom. With that being said, I want to stay everywhere so I gotta check out brv, I think my wife will love it

The refurb of BRV wasn't that many years ago. Hopefully they rooms aren't too rundown already. Our 1 bedroom a year ago was still in good shape.

Love this explanation and how I felt. They are so close together I just couldn’t see BRV being all that much different. Our CCV studio was very quiet too

Im sure ill love both. My experience has actually been the hotels I thought i would love the most havent been as high on my list as the ones I surely thought I wouldnt care for

For a 1 or 2 BR, I think I'd be happy to stay in CCV or BRV. There just isn't a huge difference. Jambo vs. Kidani is another story because, it can be a pretty LONG walk from the far end of Kidani all the way over to Jambo. You're not popping over to the QS at Jambo if you're staying at Kidani. At BRV or CCV, you can easily pop down to Roaring Fork or Geyser Point and be back at your room to eat your food if you want to.

Now, if you're thinking about buying a contract, CCV has the addition of the cabins and GVs that BRV doesn't have, and you have the far longer expiration date, and slightly lower dues. That's why I would personally never buy BRV over CCV.

I got poly, ccv and aulani on my next resale hit list

I'm not well versed in AUL, since that is just so far from me, I don't know if I'll ever make it, but I honestly think CCV is an undervalued resale option. It has the longest expiration date of any of the O14 resorts, its dues are pretty low, its points charts is very reasonable, and home resort priority matters, especially during the holidays. I'm more convinced than ever that it is the best SAP+ option of WDW resorts.

I agree but wish the 1 br had 3 sleeping surfaces. My kids don’t want to share beds. Then again…2 bedrooms are very nice.
