I ordered 6 of them, after I had contacted TicketMaster for a ticket description. They said they were good for any two days, and "hopping" was included. I just received them in today's mail. They are a typical Tickemaster event ticket, which is fine. There is no date on them. I looked at my Ticket History on their website, and it said "Event Date, Dec. 31, 2009" ***?!? So, I emailed them, and they responded that the tickets were good till the end of 2009! My trip is in January! I could barely type as I responded to the email. I don't know what I'll do if they don't make good on it. I am so upset....hopefully for nothing! I will let you know what they say. Oh God!

Take a deep breath and remember that Ticketmaster is an old well-established company. They'll fix it!

I know, I say this and I'd be going crazy too. Let us know!

oh my..........

i hate ticketmaster so i avoid buying from them unless i have no other option for tickets. i'm talking about event shows and not park tickets.

i had issues with ticket master years before on date errors for shows and got no where with them.

sending you mummy dust that you can get this all straighten out.

the one reason it is best to buy thru universal is, they listen to you in case you make a ticket purchase error.
they will work with you.
if you buy tickets thru them, you always end up being a happy camper.
i base that on personal experience when i bought tickets in the past.

they can't honor TM tickets that are expired though.

do let us know how the TM issue is resolved.
hopefully, they will work with you.
that is too much $$$ to kiss off.

If you don't get any satisfaction with them, perhaps calling Universal will help.

I just heard back from TicketMaster. They said that while they have a no refund policy, they will make this one time exception, and credit back my card, minus shipping expenses. I am a little calmer now, but will feel a lot better when I see the refund on my card. From now on, no more different ways to buy tickets. I will go directly to Universal. I think I have about 100 more grey hairs now than I did a couple of hours ago.:scared1::sad2::guilty::sad1:

Buying from Universal is always best. You know where you stand with them and their ticket policies are clear and concise. :thumbsup2

I've seen lots of issues with Universal Studio tickets sold through Ticketmaster. Glad you got your money back as the tickets would be null and void by the time your trip rolled around.

Oh, I've learned my lesson! I'll never stray again!:worship::eek::upsidedow:scared1::guilty::sad2::littleangel:::yes:::o

glad you are getting a refund.

the safest way when you buy tickets is to go thru universal direct.

i bought hard ticket events from universal in the past and they were excellent in helping me when i wanted to change the dates on the non refundable tixs..

Geez, what an ordeal that was! Make sure you put your experience on our ticket thread to help others avoid the same thing.

Ticketmaster really messed up here and I am glad that they made it right for you.

sorry, double post.

I'm still relieved for you though. I would have gone a bit nutso!

You know, I never would have known that these tickets would expire if it wasn't for the one little word "OR" on the tickets. When I saw that the tickets said:

Universal Orlando
2 Day/2 Park Pass
Universal Studios Or
Islands Of Adventure

When I saw the "Or" Instead of an "And", I was worried that it would not be good to park hop, as I was told it would be. It was only when I contacted them about the "Or" that i found out about the expiration date. (It does not have an expiration date on the ticket, and I was told there was no expiration date). If I had not questioned the "or", I would have showed up with 6 people in January, and been turned away at the gate...lost $478....and had to buy tickets right then and there. I shudder to think about having to go through that! :scared1::scared1::scared1:

I have my nephew's ticket bought through ticket master. He is using it ofr HHN so no issue on the expiration date for us but I can't believe these tickets expire on 12/30/09 when it is not noted anywhere on the ticket! Also, what answer did they tell you about park hopping? We are banking he can park hop with this ticket. I think the advice to purchase throgh Universal is very sound. We have also found great deals and good results with AAA.

I am pretty sure you will be able to park hop. The reason I contacted them was to find out about the hopping, but as soon as I found out they expire in '09, the world stopped spinning on it's axis, my life was flashing before my eyes, and my body was writhing on the floor. So, I never found out if I would have been able to hop or not. I am still checking my card for the refund. It hasn't shown up yet, but I don't expect it to this quickly. I will be able to breath better when I see it on there.:sick:

I was wondering about an expiration date for these tickets -I recall many months ago, when I went on the ticketmaster site for these tickets there was a statement in the upper right hand corner of the page that there was an expiration date. I have not seen that on the link for a while. I also have a short January trip planned and was hestitant to buy these tickets because of this and also because these tickets are meant for "certain" corporations. It it does not appear anybody has had problems using these tickets because of the corporation thing. I guess I will buy my tickets through Universal directly or through undercovertourist.com.

The only thing I can say to all is-DONT USE A SECOND PARTY TO BUY YOUR TICKETS!!!

Sure you might save a doller or two,but when you buy direct you can talk to a person that KNOWS what is going on..

Use TicketMasters for concerts and local for you venues.I have bought ticks to concerts thru them and never had problems. When it comes to park ticks save yourself the hassle...

Just to update.......Ticketmaster did credit me for the tickets. The refund showed up on my credit card this morning. Phew. I was sure they would since they said they would, but I feel a lot better knowing it is a done deal.:sick::hug:

TY for keeping us updated. I'm glad you were able to get your money back!
