I am DONE finally. . .

I just finished my daughter's Halloween costume!!
She decided that she had to be a Christmas tree this year.
Have you ever seen a tree costume?? Of course not!

So I sewed and sewed and sewed. (looked longingly at all of my new scrapbook stuff! ) and sewed some more.

It turned out so nice though. I sewed gold garland and battery operated lights around the whole thing and then we made ornaments out of felt.

We even gave ornaments to some of her teachers and friends to make. (which they seemed to really enjoy doing!)

A gold tiara star crown tops it off.

She is happy with it. and did I mention:

I AM DONE!!!

I hope you can put a picture up! I would love to see it! I love making halloween outfits! I hate to sew any other time! But it sounds amazing. Did you create the pattern? Or just wing it? That is what I do!

That sounds very cool. I saw something like that on a DIY Halloween special. I can't sew, so I admire people who can. Give me pictures and paper any day of the week!

I will try to post a picture after Halloween.

She wore the costume to Girl Scouts last night and everyone loved it- especially the lights.

She is very happy with it, so it was worthwhile for me to do.
Next year though, they have nice witches costumes, ha ha!
