I am cursed! Haunted Mansion :(

Complaining to the only group that would understand...

We went to Disneyland last year in August, only to find out that after our first day Haunted would shutdown for the overlay installation. Wasn't too bummed because we had an October trip planned a few months later. Unfortunately that October trip was absolutely packed, to the point where each time we were in the area to ride Haunted, the line was 60-70 min+. Even at rope drop the line would back up. On the five day trip we never rode, the rest of my group couldn't stand over an hour wait for it.

Our next trip is in August, just found out Mansion will be down the whole time. Aaaaarrrrrgggghhhh!

Three trips, only two rides in one day I know, first world problems.

I'm sorry, that's so disappointing. I understand! On our 2016 trip I didn't manage to get on Peter Pan the entire week and it was such a drag. I had to wait 3 years to try again.

That's a bummer. HM is my favorite so I purposely scheduled as early in August as we could precisely because it closes mid-late August for the overlay. Next year 90% guarantee it closes around those dates again. If you really wanna ride it the only thing you can do is schedule your next trip for 1st week of August at the latest or not on August at all

I've always fantasized about a day trip down to Disneyland (6 hours away) to ride a few rides then head back home. This may just trigger it

We got snagged on a closing also, it was one of the major attractions I was looking forward to, Roger Rabbit.
