my mom gave me 3,000 for christmas:worship: She said I could use it for what ever I want...That is Disney of course

so I told dh that I wanted a wdw trip:woohoo: he was not happy he dose not love it like me and the kids:headache:
now we just went Thanksive week and it was so crowded and I only had one day in Mk... So I need to go again and its not like its comming out of dh pocket:idea: so dh said we can go

ok I have 3,000 to play with...maybe for a small family but we are a family of 6:banana:
I found a condo on sky auction with in my budget... dh said no that HE would pay extra for  for the condo we used last Thanksgive:woohoo:

now my airfair was 1300:lovestruc
my car rental is 300( I will put this on the c card and pay it off after the trip.. I know I am sooo bad)

The non hopping tickets 1225:sick: for 6 days... I mean if I am going I am going to wdw for more than one day:cloud9:

that leaves me with about 500 for spending....:rolleyes1 I have been stashing away from each paycheck 50 $ so I have a total of 1,000 for spending and the kicker is I want to come home with 500 for Chritmas( I can do it!):scared:

If you book through orbitz or similar make sure you google "orbitz promotional codes" and see if there is anything there you can use. I saved $75 on our trip by doing this.

I just want to make this clear. I have to work with what I
have been given. I can not ask Dh for anymoney towards this trip. (house hold money) We are selling our house and dh is being cheap:scratchin (but smart)
ok heres more info
I have been returning my soda cans in and putting all the money on a Wamart gift card . I will use the gift card for some food for our condo... Now my goal is to have 50 by the time we go, but as of right now I have 26$

I have aslo been doing sunshine rewards so I have earned about 60$ which I will use to bring the 2 youngest to a ch lunch .

I am haveing a garage sale. I hope to earn 70$ to be used for parking.

I have also earned 60$ worth of gift cards for Pizza Hut . So I plan to eat there 2x:faint:

For my birthday I was given a 25$ gift card to Quizno's... So one night for dinner we will eat subs. ( I am sure I will have to throw in 15$ on top)

yes I am obessing about my trip.. I cant help it:goodvibes
I was looking in My WDW stash bucket and I have
about 200 Koolaid drop ins for my trip.. We are going when it is going to be so HOT.. (did I mention dh HATES the heat)

Hi. I definitely know how you are feeling. We were pretty broke when we took our first real trip to Disney - and there were only three of us. We saved for that trip and basically had saved enough for the package at Disney, rental car and airfare and we had very little extra money for spending. I was so worried the whole time but we ended up having a great trip!

When are you going? My DD who is 15 and I are going next week by ourselves. My Dh doesn't love Disney the way we do so he is staying home. I will miss him, miss sharing stuff with him but I am excited that we are getting to go despite his lack of love for the mouse. Is this a possibility for you? I don't know how it is to have 4 kids (assuming here, since you said you are a family of 6), I only have the one to deal with. Just a thought though.

So is your DH paying for the whole condo or just the difference between the condo you found and the condo that he wants?

Good Luck saving money for your trip!

Jes

dh is paying for the entire condo... Thats what he likes about our trip... :confused3 ..I have gone to WDW when my youngest was 1 and I had to just pay for me and my 3 year old. I went with my father (who paid for everything) I left dh and the older to at home... I had the best time with my dad.... If only my dh loved Disney like my family:idea: ....my dd 16 wants to work in Disneyn while in college:woohoo:

ok back to pre planning this trip on a THIN budget....
I have been buying snacks and hideing them, to use for my trip.
I have been takeing this out of my monthly food budget:tiptoe:
I have gotten lots of chips and snacks that we NEVER eat at home. This will be a treat for the family..

I have no idea what I am going to cook in the condo????? I must admit I am not a good cook:scratchin ..
We are going out to eat 3 times. I will need to cook, but what?? Hopefully something quick and easy .

What do you cook at home? I would stay in my comfort zone. I am not a great cook either. My husband does most of our cooking at home. When he has to go away for business...I make Dominos, Wendy's and toast. =D Thank God my daugther is a waaaay better cook than I am.

If I were staying in a condo and cooking some of my own meals though, I would bring my George Foreman. That way it's easy to make burgers, hotdogs, chicken...its so easy to cook on....unless the condo has a grill? Grills are the greatest thing in the world - we even use it here during the winter.

Glad you are working it out so you can take your trip!

Great idea about the George forman. I will have to dh to pick one up for his work and of course use it for our condo in wdw:love:

Here is the list of free stuff I have gotten, and that I am takeing on my trip..

I am also still collecting....I am blessed!

I have 9 laundry soap samples.. perfect because I do wash
Monostate Chafeing cream
2 South Beach drink drop inns
18 shampoo samples.. We will need shampoo for the house.
2 raziors
3 dedorant
3 tooth paste
2 bars of soap
coffe creamer
a coupon for genereal mills product
a coupon for a 6 pack of yougurt
3 packages of cat food... the cats need to eat while I am gone
gas x ...for dh:laughing:
2 zip lock bags..need that for ice

For the plane ride I have collected 2 cereal samples.... I am on a mision to see what we can snack on for free:banana:

I know it is bulky, but you might take a crock pot for meals. You can set it in the morning before you go to the parks, then have a meal ready when you come back later.

I do have one. How would I pack it???? also what could I make??

I have no idea how you could pack a crockpot but put a whole chicken ($5)in it before you leave..when you get home take it out and debone and make BBQ chicken sandwiches.. You could feed everyone for under $10 or so dollars.

If you're not going in the scorching summer months, you could throw a nice veggie soup or chili in there too while you're at the parks. Maybe do a web search before you go for some frugal crockpot recipes and pick a few that appeal to you?

I am going when it is going to be HOT.

I have no idea what too cook for the family.. I am planning at least 3 meals in the condo. Also we will breakfast and lunch in the condo.

Breakfast.. Oatmeal , and I have allready bought it:banana:
lunch .. Penutbutter and jelly... I have that to, but I will nedd to get the bread.
Drinks... got that to.. drop ins.
snacks for the condo at night..Microwave popcorn, got that to.

As of today I have 50$ on my Walmart card for food for the condo:banana:

I think anothor 25 would be perfect.

I still have no idea what to cook.. I have bought and put a side some items. Yes I will lugg them on the plane ( we do this every year)

2 Jars of apple sauce
4 boxes of kraft mac and cheese
3 boxes of instant potatoes
3 gravy mixes
2 boxes of ziti
2 boxes of pasta salad... I will def make one day for lunch with Cheddar cheese and peparoni and olives added = yummy:lovestruc
1 jar of mustard
2 boxes of rice
2 shake and bake boxes
tons of oatmeal for breakfast
5 cans of lays chips

I dont know if I will take all this . I will not know until I get a menu planned.

I just do not know what to make because it will be so HOT and Dh just likes to pick.. He could eat turkey sandwhich and hambergers all week and be thrilled:confused3 . Where I would like the children and I to have some fresh veggies and meat.

Anyway I am bringing food that is instant. I am going to want some meat and veggies.:cloud9:
