I 95 VA to WDW

We are driving down for our June trip. We'll be hopping on I 95 at Emporia, VA and we are about 2 hours from Emporia.

I'd like to stop for the night (it'll be Friday, June 19th) either the end of SC or beginning of GA area. Can anyone tell me a good place to stop?

I am hoping to only have 5 hours or less to drive on Saturday.

Savannah exit 104 is pretty nice. Several hotels, and 290 miles to WDW from there.

Anyone with experience at the Holiday Inn there?

I second, Robert Ps message about exit 104 in GA, lots of places to stay and eat. Your only about 4 1/2 hours from the "World". Btw the Pooler area exit looked a bit shady when we drove down last Nov.

I looked it up...the Holiday Inn is off the 104 exit...so I should be okay right???

When we drive from VA Beach to Orlando, we normally stop for the night in Pooler. If that's the same Holiday Inn that I'm thinking of, its really nice, we've stayed there once and my in-law's have stayed there 3 times.

We do this drive from Northern VA and usually stop in Santee, SC. There are several hotels right off 95 (Hampton Inn is our usual haunt). We generally leave late afternoon for the drive, so Santee is about as far as we can go without stopping to sleep. It leaves approx 5 hours to drive the next morning.

TLC371...we're leaving from VA Beach too...how long does it take you to get from here to Pooler? Great to hear from somebody that has stayed in the hotel.
