Has anyone driven I-75 lately?

AAA says its under construction pretty much from Detroit to Orlando. We were planning on taking it but are uncertain of the degree of construction.

If under construction means sections closed or down to one lane and backed up traffic it could mean the difference between taking 20 hours to get there and days to get there. This would pretty much ruin any Disney itinerary anyone had devised.

Any info would be appreciated.pirate:

When driving from north of Atlanta to Orlando in July, there were tons and tons of construction barrels on the sides of the road--not being used it lookde like. We hit a small patch once (around Warner Robbins). For GA--here is a website that lists construction projects:

I do the Cincinnati Orlando I75 route about 3 times a year. The amount of construction delays depends more on the time of day and day of week for the Atlanta FL border area. If you can hit Atlanta on a Saturday morning before 11am you will be fine. Last trip in mid Sept. left Cincinnati about 1 am and rolled into ASMu at 2:20pm.
Last Christmas was the worst all time had to travel on a weekday 2 days before christmas and it added 4 hours. Only 1 hours was consctuction the other 3 were heavy daytime/weekday traffic. I dont plan on much the first day that way even if late so what I am in Dsineyworld. Good luck drive careful.
