To those driving I 10 (from Texas or further), what are some of your favorite places to stop on the way to/from WDW?

Share all--rest stops, roadside parks, hotels, restaurants, gas stations, campgrounds, museums, interesting towns or locations....

We spend the night at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Midway, Florida, I-10 exit 192. Clean, comfortable and quiet! For us, its roughly 1/2 way to Orlando.

There's also a Flying J truck stop across the road from the Comfort Inn if you need gas.

We will drive up to the next eastbound exit (196, I think) and eat at the Steak N Shake south of that exit.

We also stop for gas at the Penn Oil Company truck stop in Live Oak, exit 283.

Other places we've stopped are the Chick Fil a east of Baton Rouge on Millerville Rd. We've also down in Pensacola to eat at MacGuire's Irish Pub which is one of our favorites. We also found the rest stop at the Mississippi state line to be nice. Coming back on trip, we stayed at the Econo Lodge in Crestview Florida which was nice and cheap.
