I’ve Been Laid Off!!!

I am so sorry to hear this Diane My DH was laid off about 2 years ago w/o any warning and I know it was rough (especially for him) but we made it though okay. I know in our area, notice is never given. My company has laid off a lot of people and never notice (just rumors) and no one ever knows. Just told, pack up and go. Good luck to you. I know out of my DH's lay off, he got a much better job and we feel much better about where he works. I hope the same will be true for you {{hugs}}

I know it hurts now (I've been through it twice and a third time might be coming soon), but it does get better. I was lucky in that all instances I could kind of see it coming (with the way the company was going at the time).

First time was the hardest and I was totally unprepared (I had worked there 17 years). I made a vow then never to be unprepared again.

Allow yourself the tears, file for unemployment, and start looking for that better job out there.

In this day and age it is more uncommon to find someone who has never been layed off or "downsized" than it is to find someone who has.

This happened to me in February after 15 years at my job.

Please don't take it personally. This is the hardest part. Remember that with every closed door there will be another open one and that one will SHINE!
